NOTES TO PHYSICIAN: Product contains a significant amount of petroleum distillate, therefore ingestion of this material or subsequent vomiting can result in aspiration which can cause chemical pneumonitis. COMMENTS: See product label for specific First Aid Measures. The above measures are the most conservative - Pesticide Registration (PR) Notice 2000-3 April 11, 2000 - and would apply in the event a product label is not immediately available. 5. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES SMALL SPILL: Soak up spilled material with paper towels and discard in trash. LARGE SPILL: Liquid spills on floor or other impervious surfaces should be contained or diked, and should be absorbed with attapulgite, bentonite or other absorbent clays. Collect contaminated absorbent, place in plastic-lined metal drum and dispose of in accordance with instructions provided under Section 13. "DISPOSAL". Thoroughly scrub floor or other impervious surface with a strong industrial type detergent solution and rinse with water. For liquid spills that soak into the ground, contact the applicable Federal, State and or County Health Dept. for disposal recommendations. If disposal is required then refer to Section 13 "DISPOSAL" for instructions. Leaking containers should be separated from non-leakers and either the container or its contents transferred to a drum or other nonleaking container and disposed of in accordance with instructions provided under Section 13 "Disposal". GENERAL PROCEDURES: Observe all protection and safety precautions when cleaning up spills -- see Section 8. "EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION". 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE GENERAL PROCEDURES: READ AND OBSERVE ALL PRECAUTIONS ON PRODUCT LABEL. DO NOT USE OR STORE near flame, sparks or hot surfaces. USE ONLY IN WELL VENTILATED AREA. Do not use on household pets or humans. HANDLING: Carefully follow label instructions for handling. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash contaminated skin with soap and water after handling. Avoid container breakage. STORAGE: Follow product label storage recommendations. Store in a cool, dry place away inaccessible to children and pets, away from heat, open flame, or other ignition sources. Do not contaminate feed or foodstuffs with product. STORAGE TEMPERATURE: 50-90 F 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION ENGINEERING CONTROLS: Read and observe label instructions for exposure controls/personal protection. No special ventilation is required under normal use conditions. However, if workplace operating conditions create airborne concentrations which exceed the recommended exposure standards (in Section 8), then special ventilation may be required. PERSONAL PROTECTION EYES AND FACE: Follow label precautions for product application. Avoid contact with eyes. Where there is potential for eye contact under manufacturing conditions, wear chemical goggles and have eye wash equipment available. SKIN: Follow label precautions for skin protection. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. RESPIRATORY: This material may be an industrial inhalation hazard and, unless ventilation is adequate, the use of approved respiratory protection is recommended. Follow label application instructions and avoid breathing vapors. WORK HYGIENIC PRACTICES: DO NOT SMOKE, EAT, DRINK, OR APPLY COSMETICS IN THE WORK AREA. Wash promptly if skin becomes contaminated.
