KNIT HOODIE FULL ZIP Made from hardwearing double knitted fleece, this hood features details fit for function. A 2-way waterproof zip secures the front while its elastic draw cord keeps the hood in place. Ergonomic sleeves and a hemline and cuff finished in invisible stitching make for a smooth, well tailored design. BONDED FLEECE The fabric is double woven. The front and the back can both be used. The construction is cotton with polyester and elastan spandex This makes it a Technical fleece, a comfortable and clean cut fabric. The sweat has got no top stitching everything is glued and folded. It is a crewneck full zip cardigan with raglan and rubber print, chest pocket with hole for the earphone, inside there is a rubber print, bottom hem is neoprene. Technical super 3 layer draw cords eyelets with deco tape, waterrepellent zippers and kangaroo pockets inserted folded and glued. KNIT HOODIE ZIP W/PRINT Made from the softest of comfort fleece cottons this hoodie features all one needs in the way of urban design, but is packed with North Sails upgrades. A jersey twin pocket bag and elastic draw cord are just two things that make this hoodie legions above the rest. STRETCH FLEECE With the stretch fleece a very clean back is used to create a more technical detail. Two way zipper is placed as a front pocket with a power mesh lining. The sleeves are ergonomically shaped and the bottom hem is half ribbed and the other half blind stitched. KNIT CREW-NECK W/ZIP Fitted with a waterproof zip at the side, this luxury merino wool v-neck is a perfect layering style with North Sails details. MERINOS The Pullover is knitted in a Milano stitch; there is a non functional waterproof zipper on the side of the pull. This gives it a trough North Sails look just like the chest pocket. KNIT CREW-NECK W/PATCH An easy wear stretch wool blend crew neck done the North Sails way. STRETCH WOOL The stretch wool is a combination of a viscose yarn and a wool one. KNIT RIBBED CREW-NECK The essential North Sails crew neck in new season colors. IDROWOOL This is a very special type of wool. The wool is treated with a special wash to make the wool extra water-repellent. This shows the North Sails mentality of exploring, innovation and looking ahead. After 20 washes the treatment will slowly fade. But check it out. Throw some splashes of water on there. KNIT HALF ZIP Made from 100% lambswool, this zip up knit features an inner collar and collar taping in a contrast color. Ribbed at the hemline for comfort, it fits snug on the body and is a good layering piece. LAMBSWOOL Carry over style from last year; this comes in many different styles: v-neck, crew neck, half zip pullover, and a full zip cardigan. Lambs wool is used to create very high-grade materials. PANTS EVARTS Ergonomically cut, this design is a beach to boat style for the modern sportsman. Made from double twisted cotton, its slight stretch allows for movement. Personalized hardware and zip details give this style a classic North Sails look, while chino style pockets, velcro inserts and a personalized belt make for added function. DOUBLE TWISTED Double twisted cotton is made with the longer fibers of the cotton. These are the best and more expensive fibers. The quality is better because the fibers are stronger and more long lasting. CAP RUSSEL Slightly slouchy when worn, this beanie works to fit well but with a certain slouch at the peak. It s shape offers a more contemporary look to the traditional fisherman s style. FISHERMAN BEANIE The beanie was born out of its precursor, the Monmouth cap. This was a small round, close-fitting hat, which was either brimless or with a small brim. CAP ROBIN If you haven t yet worn a baseball cap lined with fleece, then you best be buying this one. Made to stretch and move with you, its lining just makes for added insulation and the ultimate in comfort. BASEBALL CAP SUPPLEX NYLON Considered an American icon, a baseball cap is a type of soft hat with a rounded crown and a stiff peak. Typically, the front of the cap has a logo and the back of the cap is either fitted to the wearer s head size or may have an adjustable plastic strap. The amateur baseball teams the Brooklyn Excelsior s, of Brooklyn New York, were the first to sport a baseball cap. This first generation cap included a long visor and a button top. Referred to as the Brooklyn-style baseball cap, it was the precursor to the modern-day baseball cap. The baseball cap has become the hat of choice for sailors and yachtsmen during regattas. Not only does it help against the glare of the sun, but it also stops hair from flapping around at crucial moments in the race. Due to its popularity amongst sailors, the hanger-loop was invented as an extra add-on. BELT TOM Inspired by the taping used on North Sails boats, this canvas belt is water resistant and made for wearing at sea. D RING BELT The D-ring belt is a band or strap, typically made from heavy cloth or canvas. It has a double D-ring at one end used for fastening and is worn around the waist to support trousers. Although a version of the belt has been around since the Bronze Age, it was only in the 1920s, when a lower waistline for trousers became fashionable, that belts started having a practical, rather than decorative function. Before this, belts were mostly associated with the military, as trousers did not yet have belt loops. Originally, belts for sailing were made out of leather. This however, did not work well for sailors as the salt water damaged the leather. Then sailors started using the ropes that were used for manoeuvring sails as belts. But as these were not adjustable, it created some problems. At the time, sailing bags were closed using the double D method, so the same system was applied to belts and the ring belt was born. North Sails, the worldwide leader in sail production, has created a customized ring belt using the North Sails logo tape.
