HOW DO I REGISTER? Congratulations on your career decision and for choosing RINALDI COLLEGE of AESTHETICS! Contact the school to schedule an appointment All applicants of RINALDI COLLEGE of AESTHETICS are expected to meet the following minimum requirements: 1) Ontario Secondary School Diploma, equivalent, or mature student (18 yrs or older) 2) A personal interview and school tour 3) Photo I.D. 4) Entrance Exam for mature student may apply 5) English as second language student applicants must write a short entrance exam to evaluate reading, writing, and math comprehension. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE 1) The $200 registration fee is payable at the time of application and is refundable only within a 48hr. cooling off period. 2) A Personal Interview and completed Health Questionnaire Forms 3) Contract signed and ALL post dated cheques submitted to complete registration GENERAL INFORMATION: 1) An impeccable attendance record is mandatory. A maximum of three days absent is allotted for the entire program. Any time missed after the 3 days MUST be made up in the STUDENT CLINIC at the end of the program as per RINALDI COLLEGE of AESTHETICS schedule. Students MUST complete ALL hours. 2) A professional black uniform,- as per RINALDI COLLEGE of AESTHETICS guidelines- including closed-toe soft-soled indoor black professional shoes. 3) On ORIENTATION DAY, student kits will be issued and Rinaldi College rules and regulations will be reviewed. 4) Due to sanitary reasons, there are absolutely no refunds of kit items-- as well as no refund for cost of the manuals. GRADUATION ELIGIBILITY In order to graduate and be awarded the DIPLOMA--- students MUST meet the following: 1) Complete all modules of study with a minimal average of 70% for both theory and practical exams. Complete all texts- exams project 2) Complete mandatory hours for practical services & CLINIC HOURS (checkmark sheet). 3) Complete mandatory attendance in accordance with the attendance policy 4) Complete discharge of all financial obligations to the college. GENERAL INFORMATION for PAYMENT: o All Payments must be paid in accordance to the payment policy unless an alternative payment plan is confirmed with RINALDI COLLEGE of AESTHETICS at the time of signing the contract. o In order to hold a seat for the program ALL post dated cheques must be submitted at the time of registration. o Cheques returned to the RINALDI COLLEGE of AESTHETICS as NSF will be subject to a $45.00 service charge for each returned cheque. Cheques must be replaced immediately. o The RINALDI COLLEGE of AESTHETICS reserves the right to cancel the program when sufficient enrollment is not attained. Applicants affected by cancellation of the program may elect to transfer their application to the next schedule start date or, upon written request, receive a refund of all monies paid. o Please refer to the Private Career College Refund Policy for information on withdrawal and refund.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS REQUIRED Please bring with you the following items to class: Stationary (Pen, pencil, highlighter, pencil crayons, eraser, liquid paper) Binders (Total of three 3- inch binders plus five 2- inch binders) Plastic Protector Sheets (100 s will be required) A key will be issued to each student for use of a locker while in school A $25.00 deposit is required. PROFESSIONAL UNIFORM Professional black uniform & black INDOOR shoes ONLY (Closed Toed) A white or black lab coat is permitted. No sweater, hoodies or street clothes allowed A black turtleneck or T- shirt may be worn under the uniform A name tag will be provided for each student to wear at all times During the Facial Skin Care & Body Treatment Modules, the following items are also required: White bath towel (large body size) White flat sheets (twin size- two recommended) White cotton blanket (twin size- two recommended) 12 DARK coloured face clothes Doctors note stating that you are in good health and do not have any communicable diseases is needed for your file. Please provide the office with this as soon as possible to complete registration. **Proof of Grade 12 Diploma is required if not 18 years old.

They will be able to perform various spa treatments such as: Facials Advanced Facials including Anti- Aging treatments Manicures & Pedicures Waxing/Lash & Brow Tinting Professional Makeup Artistry Body Therapy

Graduates will also have an overview of Communications and Spa Operations and their role as a Professional Aesthetician. The graduate of the AESTHETICS DIPLOMA PROGRAM will be able to demonstrate the ability to : Facial Skin Care Component: Apply relevant knowledge of anatomy, physiology and histology of the skin, nutrition/ health & the body systems to the specialized aesthetics treatment for face and body. Perform the above mentioned services in an efficient manner- follow protocols and be able to effectively communicate to the client- the knowledge and benefits related to each treatment. Demonstrate customer service skills and be able to adapt to each individual clients needs and expectations in accordance with the professional standards and ethics. Understand and adhere to Health Safety- Sterilization and Prevention of Infections & Cross Contamination in compliance with Health Canada Guidelines. Understand the structure of the skin- skin disorders & skin aging and utilize this knowledge in performing facial treatments as well as be able to distinguish between those that can be treated and those that require a physicians care. Understand the client health record and be able to identify any contraindications relevant to treatments. Apply knowledge of the client health record utilize information to determine any contra-indications for the facial treatments -peels and microdermabrasion. Identify the facial bones and muscles and understand the five classifications of massage. Be able to adapt in a facial treatment and respecting the client s health issues or contra-indications stated in the health record. Understand the process of Aging skin and hormonal influences associated with aging skin. Understand ingredients and composition in aesthetics formulations and be able to identify clients needs and recommend their use to suit clients skin care needs. Understand all of the systems of the body (digestive- circulatoryrespiratory-nervous- lymphatic and endocrine systems) and their relation to the health of the skin. Understand basic aromatherapy and its relation to skin treatments. Understand the function of various machines used in facials and demonstrate correct and safe operation of equipment such as high frequency- galvanic- spray vac/ lymphatic drainage- microdermabrasion Respect and follow Health Canada Guidelines.

Understand and demonstrate chemical and physical advanced exfoliation such as enzyme peels and medical grade facial peels ( glycolic- salicylic acid- TCA-Jessner s) Apply knowledge of advanced exfoliation and post treatment care. Communicate effectively with clients by utilizing professional terminology. Understand the role of the Professional Aesthetician in a spa setting. Understand the appropriate protocols for professionalism and policies regarding client confidentiality. Demonstrate the knowledge of the importance of retail for client home care. Manicure & Pedicure: Knowledge of anatomy of the Hands & Feet. Demonstrate the correct use of manicure/pedicure implements in an efficient and organized manner. Demonstrate the correct protocols for advanced manicure and pedicures respecting any contra-indications from the clients health record. Knowledge of Nail & Foot disorders and be able to apply this knowledge in order to identify various disorders and determine the cause and treatment. Understand when to refer clients to a physician. French Polish Shellac- Paraffin Wax treatment protocols. Waxing & Lash/Brow Tint: Understand the fundamentals of the structure of the hair- hair growth cycles and hormonal influences of hirsutism. Demonstrate proper techniques for hair removal on the face and body utilizing both soft and hard wax methods. Understand the contra-indications for waxing and respect client safety and disinfection protocols- following Health Canada standards. Demonstrate proper protocols for eyelash and eyebrow tinting n a safe manner. Professional Makeup Artistry: Knowledge of History of Cosmetics- Colour Theory Product Knowledge- Face Shape & Features as well as Corrective techniques- Contouring & Highlighting for Professional Makeup application. Demonstrate application for day- evening-mature and bridal makeup techniques Demonstrating creativity in application of glamour and fantasy makeup applications. Knowledge of proper lighting required for makeup application. Basic fundamentals for colour or black & white photography.

Body Therapy: Knowledge of the Skeletal & Muscular systems of the body and how to apply this knowledge to a full body relaxation massage. Understand the classifications of massage and the contra-indications associated with relaxation body massage. Be able to perform a relaxation massage following proper sequence and application of massage maneuvers. Perform Body Exfoliation -Body Wrap and Cellulite treatments Understand Cellulite theory and various treatment options. Body Detox- Sauna & Steam Room applications Knowledge of Hydrotherapy- Thalassotherapy and Balneotherapy. Utilize Vichy Shower treatments. Communications & Spa Operations: Understand the concepts associated with planning an aesthetics business and developing a marketing strategy for success. An overview of Spa Operations/Management and Professional Protocols. Demonstrate professional dialogue with clients in respect to treatments. Demonstrate the importance of building a clientele and being able to determine a treatment plan for repeat business. Develop confidence & skills- proficiency and efficiency with respect to precision and time management for each service as they perform treatments in the Student Clinic. Demonstrate application for a professional day- evening-mature-and bridal makeup techniques. Utilizing creativity in application of glamour and fantasy makeup applications. Knowledge of proper lighting required for makeup application. Basic fundamentals for colour or black & white photography. Body Therapy Knowledge of the Skeletal & Muscular systems of the body and how to apply this knowledge to a full body relaxation massage.
