This distinctive festival is a pet friendly community celebration featuring family friendly attractions. Regional artist and craftsmen display their wares, seafood and festival food vendors prepare tasty local specialties and festival treats and community partners offer engaging attractions and exhibits. Come check out interactive exhibits from the Florida Wildlife Commission, FSU Marine Laboratory, Bear Creek Feline Center, and the Big Bend Bird Club to name a few. Carrabelle s own Fishy Fashion Show, the Pet Parade and the Procession of the species continue to play for the festival. Festival-2011 Page 2 of 6 The Fishy Fashion Show Our fashion show draws eager crowds and has become a centerpiece of the festival. Carrabelle and the festival are proud to be the home to the Fishy Fashion Show. On Saturday afternoon at 2 PM, the signature show features a unique promenade of high fashion coastal couture made from maritime morsels and washed up relics including oyster sacks, sea nets, sponges, shells, repurposed beach umbrellas and assorted flotsam and jetsam. Featured ensembles include the Maritime Marshall, Bay Side Bride and Groom, a salty Sea Vamp, an outrageous Red Tide She Devil, Sponge Bonnet Sue, a menacing Sea Warrior and many more. The wondrous creations are presented by Fishy Fashion Show creator Joan Matey of Lanark and feature her personal creations and the creative stylings of Jan Neshat of Eastpoint, Florida. A real crowd pleaser, be sure to show up early for a bite to eat and a good seat for the show. You don t want to miss this one! Call 320-8225 for special Fishy Fashion Sponsorship opportunities. Franklin County s Humane Societies Pet Parade Each year the Riverfront Festival celebrates the four (or more) legged members of our families with the Humane Society s Pet Parade. Dress up your pet, wear a matching outfit yourself or just come by and watch. It s adorable and inspirational. There will be gifts from the sponsors for all the entries and wonderful prizes for various categories. A Model for Community Participation All of the fun starts at 10:30 AM on Saturday at the Carrabelle Wharf Pavilion. Be sure to stop by and see the adoptable animals at the Humane Society s booth.. As host of the 2011 Festival, Carrabelle CARES hopes to involve all of its community partners. The new model for the development of attractions and activities is to find a local partner to manage, plan and host a festival attraction or venue. CARES is asking local organizations to become stake holders and benefit from the publicity that it provides. As an example, the Franklin County Humane Society has agreed to become the permanent host of the Pet Parade. Truth is that they have experience directing this attraction in previous festivals but now they will have their name connected with the activity and will be responsible for building this attraction. CARES hopes that other local and regional organizations will adopt an attraction or venue for this years or future riverfront festivals.

Page 3 of 6 Festival-2011 Procession of the Species Carrabelle s own special version of the Procession of the Species will be held on Sunday at 2PM.
