Westex by Milliken s extensive history of innovation and FR fabric expertise enables us to deliver high quality protective fabrics engineered for multiple hazardous situations. www.westex.com Antex Knitting Mills is a vertical knitting, dyeing, printing and finishing company established in Los Angeles in 1973. The company produces approximately 1.5 million yards of fabric per week. Its traditional business is to provide fashionable knitted fabrics to the junior, contemporary, and children's markets. Several years ago, Antex added the Antex Premier Performance division to provide technical fabrics to the outdoor and active wear markets. www.antexknitting.com A decade ago, springfield was the newest name in the industry. Today we are a front runner with the capacity to become the premier global supplier of FR fabrics. Allow us the opportunity to WOW you! You will not regret it. Save time with Factory-Direct Customization! EMBROIDERY PATCHES & EMBLEMS REFLECTIVE TRIM 21

CUSTOM EMBROIDERY SERVICES Custom Embroidered Logos & Designs Begin with High-Quality Digitizing Digitizing is the first, most important, step for creating high-quality embroidery. Digitizing creates instructions that allow a logo to be stitched on using an embroidery machine. We utilize state-of-the-art software and advanced vector art graphics that allow us to offer fast, cost-effective, and accurate conversions of business logos, artwork and text into superior designs for your uniforms and work wear. If you would like to send a digitized file, we accept Tajima DST file formats. LOGO SIZES: Logos placed on shirts or jackets in a left chest position should not exceed 4"w x 2.5 h in size. Most logos are sized to fit within 3 to 4" wide. Logos are placed above pockets. Embroidery for the back of apparel items is typically sized to fit within an 8" wide area. LOGO LIMITATIONS: Embroidery is NOT printing, if your artwork includes shadows, gradients or shading, we will have to discuss how to adapt the design to embroidery capabilities. We have some tricks, but there are limits on what can be duplicated with needle and thread. We cannot duplicate gradients within small individual letters, numbers, or other small objects. Gradient effects can be reproduced only within larger objects or shapes. Thread layering and overstitching are used to produce a gradient look. Although this achieves a similar effect, it adds considerable stitching to the digitized design. LOGO TEXT AND LETTERING: Letters that are too small and certain font styles do not embroider well. Consider the difference in height between capital letters and lower case letters. Avoid small lettering using fonts with serifs such as TIMES NEW ROMAN, BODONI, BOOK ANTIQUA or COPPERPLATE. These fonts are very difficult to recreate with needle and thread, especially when they are small.letter sizes must be at least 1/4" high or FONT SIZE of 24 as a MINIMUM at the final embroidered size, to embroider legibly. MATCHING FONTS: There are corporate logos and designs, which use custom or unique fonts that we may not have. When sending a Vector Art File (Ai, EPS, PS, PDF, CDR or CMX), convert the text to CURVES, PATHS, or OUTLINES, to reduce the possibility of font conflicts. Alternatively, send us your custom TTF font file IF you want us to EDIT your text or if you want us to ADD matching text. Without your unique font file, we may not be able to recreate the text exactly. LOGO FORMAT: Vector art works best for embroidery. Almost all corporate logos, developed by professionals, are in vector art format. Vectors are the standard in graphic design, printing and publishing. There are many vector file formats, but these are the most popular: Ai, EPS, CDR, and some PDF files. If you are sending a bitmap/raster image, please make sure it is a LARGE, High-Quality image. A resolution of 300 dpi is preferred. Bitmap files include BMP, GIF, JPEG, TIFF and many more. 22 ORDERING INFO & FAQs

PATCHES AND EMBLEMS Customization with Patches and Emblems Patches and emblems serve multiple purposes when used to customize uniforms. They promote your company identity, they unite all members of your team under a common symbol, and they provide increased security in the workplace and in the field. STANDARD PATCHES: We offer a variety of standard patches that include country and state flags as well as name patches and safety patches. Name patches are available with a variety of border colors in addition to standard white or black borders to match your needs. You can choose from BLOCK or Script fonts for names. Name patches come in two standard sizes: 3.5 w x 1.5 h, for single names and 4 w x 2 h for full names or name and title. CUSTOM PATCHES: We also offer custom patch designs with your logo, artwork, or message. A variety of options are available for custom logo patch designs. All patches can be sewn on, heat sealed, or made removable and reusable with velcro attachment options. ORDERING INFO & FAQs 23

LAUNDERING INSTRUCTIONS Home Laundering LAPCO FR clothing-made with Carolina Protect FR fabric-can be washed, dried, and ironed if necessary. Conventional home washing methods will not alter the flame-resistant properties of the fabric, when employed correctly. It is important that the garments be free of stains that could be flammable. If stains cannot be removed at home, washing periodically at a commercial laundromat is recommended. Difficult or profound stains wash out more easily if they are prewashed. The stain should be rubbed with liquid detergent or another product specified for prewashing. The pre-wash should sit long enough to penetrate the stain and loosen the soil. Do not use any pre-wash product containing bleach or hydrogen peroxide. These chemicals will alter the flame-resistance of the fabric and consequently, the garment. Detergents and Other Washing Products It is important to use an effective detergent that does not contain softener, bleach, or hydrogen peroxide. There are a variety of fabric softeners and starches on the market, but some of these will affect the flame-resistance of the fabric; therefore, it is not recommended to use these products on your flame-resistant garments. Another issue to consider is water quality. Hard water contains salts like calcium and magnesium. These minerals can deposit layers of buildup on the fabric that are difficult to remove and can decrease the flame-resistance of the garments over time. Soft water, on the contrary, can reduce the consumption of detergent, improve wash quality, and will not affect the flame-resistant properties of your garments. The use of soaps is not recommended. Soaps can form an insoluble film on your garments, and can be flammable. Washing/Drying Guide Garments should be separated into light colors and dark colors to avoid color transfer between garments. When washing your garments, it is important not to overload the machine. This will ensure an optimum wash and avoid wrinkles. The load size should allow garments to move freely during the wash and rinse cycles. The water temperature should be set to hot when washing heavily soiled garments. Less soiled garments should be washed on a lower temperature setting to extend the color retention of the fabric. Your flame-resistant garments can be washed at a temperature of up to 167 F. Your garments can be machine or line dried. When machine drying, garments should be removed from the machine immediately when they have dried or while still slightly damp. Over drying can result in excessive shrinkage. Drying times vary depending on the load size. Steaming or common ironing can be used with your flame-resistant garments. Ironing, without the use of starch, will not have a negative effect on the garments flame-resistant properties. Dry cleaning is effective at removing grease and oils that are difficult to remove using conventional laundering techniques. Dry cleaning is not recommended for our denim garments, due to possible discoloration. IMPORTANT Bleach, Hydrogen Peroxide, or products containing either, should NEVER be used on flame-resistant garments.
