HERITAGE WORK Blacksmith This style can truly be considered the classic American work shoe. In the early 1900s, when Red Wing Shoe Company first began to service rural America, this style of shoe became vastly popular across the country. Versatile and reliable, it was used in farm fields and blacksmith workshops during the day before being cleaned and shined up for a night out on the town. In his advertising he promoted himself as Beckman, The Shoe Man. As a prosperous Main Street merchant, he saw first-hand the need for durable and comfortable boots. In 1905 when he couldn t find boots to meet his needs, he started his own shoe company. Navigating the muddy streets of Red Wing was part of his daily routine. HERITAGE WORK Postman In the 1950s policemen still walked their beats and the postman walked his mail route. They needed comfortable and sturdy footwear for the hours spent on their feet. This leather is water, stain and perspiration resistant, and has a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-tanned leather is exceptionally durable and has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing s 108+ year history. Smooth-Finished Leather Smooth-finished leathers have a polished surface that enhances the true beauty and quality of the leather. Only the most premium, top-quality hides are used to craft smooth-finished leathers. The result is a beautiful, classic-looking leather used to build more elegant styles, such as the Red Wing Heritage Beckman Collection. The polished look and feel of the smooth-finished leather requires more specialized care and attention to keep it maintained. Roughout Leather Roughout leather is created using a reverse-suede technique at our very own S.B. Foot Tanning Co. While most tanneries split, thin and weaken the hide to create the rough suede surface, we simply use the other side of the hide. By doing so, we avoid splitting or thinning our full-grain hides. Used to craft stylish footwear, Chaparral leather creates a classic appearance. Featherstone Used exclusively in our Beckman collection, Featherstone is our finest leather handselected from only the best cow hides. Pioneer This premium oil-tanned leather is used to create our handcrafted belts. Natural-looking and rustic, Pioneer gets better with age. Settler Settler leather is finished to provide a distinctive luster and smooth appearance, meaning footwear looks classic and sharp. Oil-Tanned Leather Chrome Uniform in color and appearance, this smooth leather can wear longer without abrasion showing on the footwear. Harness Harness is a naturallooking leather finished with a unique combination of oil and wax for enhanced color. Mesa The natural appearance of our beautiful Mesa leather means nature s beauty marks, like scars and scratches, remain visible. A return merchandise memo must accompany defective merchandise returns. The return merchandise must be shipped prepaid and via the most economical means. Transportation credit will be issued on defective merchandise and prompt credit will be issued on returned defective merchandise. Shipping Errors: Red Wing Brands of America, Inc. accepts returns on merchandise that is sent in error. This product must be returned within 30 days of delivery. A return merchandise memo must accompany the return along with a copy of the invoice or packing slip indicating the returned shoe(s). Shoes returned without a packing slip will be returned to the dealer. The returned merchandise must be shipped prepaid and via the most economical means. Transportation credit will be issued on returned shipping errors and prompt credit will be issued. Special Orders: Special order merchandise may be returned within 30 days of delivery. A return merchandise memo must accompany the return along with a copy of the invoice or packing slip indicating the returned special order shoe(s). If within 6 months of purchase, a defect occurs in a Red Wing branded footwear product as the result of normal use, Red Wing Shoe Company, Inc. ( Red Wing ) will repair the defect or exchange the product. If a product defect occurs as the result of normal use within 6 to 12 months after purchase, Red Wing will repair the defect or issue a credit for 50% of the purchase price. If a product defect occurs as the result of normal use 12 months or more after purchase, Red Wing may, at its option, issue a fair and reasonable credit that can be applied to the purchase of Red Wing branded footwear. The amount of the credit will be determined in the dealer s sole judgment. Product failures caused by excessive or abusive wear conditions do not qualify for exchange or purchase credit. This warranty is available only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. No adjustment will be given without the original receipt of purchase. You must return your footwear to the Red Wing Shoe dealer from which the footwear was purchased. No agent, employee or representative of Red Wing has any authority to bind Red Wing to any affirmation, representation or warranty concerning Red Wing branded footwear products, except as stated herein. This limited product warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Any implied warranties shall be effective for a period not exceeding 12 months from the date of purchase.
