Stitch This interactive cross stitch activity introduces those who are unfamiliar with technology to the Internet. By connecting to an-on screen lesson, the object becomes a controller that advances the tutorial as each stitch is made, bridging the gap between analog and digital processes. Video here!
Theremin Poster This poster is activated by near-touch, and can be played like a theremin. The poster is controlled by an Arduino and senses the electronic capacitance of the user. The project was exhibited at Graphic Design Festival Breda (NL) and Hotel Droog in Amsterdam. Project completed in collaboration with Trapped In Suburbia (NL). Video here!
Flower Power An indulgent photo series, Flower Power seeks to look at hardware in new and surprising ways by celebrating the sexiness of electronic components. In collaboration with Annie Van Noordwijk and Russell John
Printed Circuit Boards These custom made circuit boards are hardware experiments that seek to shrink down and automate processes we find in the everyday. Pictured: Brexit circuit board and Tinder circuit board Video here!
Nike: London on Air Nike UK asked me to teach a number of interactive workshops for 18-25 year olds as part of their Air Max Anniversary celebrations in 2017. The workshops taught participants how to create their own stitched game controllers using conductive thread, a custom-made circuit board and a Makey Makey microcontroller.
Nike: London on Air This 2D platformer (developed in Unity) tracks the history of the Air Max through the ages since its first appearance in 1987. It was designed be played by the participants in the London On Air workshops to test their game controllers. Play the game here!
Bob Design Christmas Card This device plugs onto a series of different screen-printed circuits to make them into a playable instrument. The Arduino-based system translates touch to sound coming from a small piezo buzzer. The circuit board was designed, prototyped and assembled by hand. Edition of 150. Video here!
Goooogle Tapestry This Google homepage is being stitched over by a slick cotton interface to convey the hidden craft of coding.

The user can input their physical details (height, eye colour, hair colour) and receive the most likely tattoo that they would have if they were existent in the database.
Machine Learning Tattoo Parlour Part of an ongoing project that includes receiving each tattoo that is predicted for me. If we all received the tattoo that was predicted for us, we might be able to subvert predictive policing techniques that are being developed using this data.
