This is an exhibition of all the banners produced for the Processions 2018 parade on the 10th June. Crochet Dreamcatchers Saturday 9 June 2:00-4:00pm, 10.00 Create intricate and beautiful dream catchers using simple crochet techniques and mandala patterns for individual works of art. Moroccan Lanterns (4 weeks) Wednesdays from 6 June, 7:00-9:00pm, 25.00 Work alongside ceramicist Ciara Campbell using cutting techniques on stoneware clay to create simple but beautiful ceramic lanterns. Mixed Media (4 weeks) Thursdays from 7 June, 10:30-12:30pm, 20.00 A relaxed class for all levels of ability, participants encouraged to develop their chosen medium. (Bring your own materials). Life Drawing (Daylong Workshop) Saturday 2 June, 10:00-4:00pm, 25.00 per sess. An opportunity to draw from a life model under the guidance of an experienced tutor, perfect for portfolio building. AUGUST CRAFT MONTH Throw-a-Pot (limited to 5 places) Wednesdays from 8 August, 7:00-9:00pm, 30.00 Learn the method and technique for throwing a pot under the guidance of experienced ceramicist Ciara Campbell then come back and personalise your creations ready for second firing.. Silversmithing (Daylong Workshop) Saturday 25 August, 10:00-4:00pm, 40.00 You will be taught traditional jewellery making techniques such as piercing, soldering, rolling, annealing and polishing, enabling you to design a necklace/earring. Class is led by designer, gold and silversmith Diane Lyness. ADULT MASTER CLASSES Helena Hamilton Listening to the everyday Saturday 12 May, 10:00-4:00pm, 20.00 In this master class the artist will introduce you to the different ways to listen to the everyday and how this can alter how an object/space is experienced. Helena invites you to bring an object with you to listen to. - During the masterclass you will record this object using different microphones. Christine Mauersberger - Mindful Hand-stitching Saturday 4 August, 10:00-4:00pm 20.00 We are drawn to stitch and can almost feel the vitality of the person who created the sewn marks. This one-day workshop will help you form a meditative and purposeful style of handstitching. Robin Price Oxford Island outreach project (TBC) MCAC Education team will work alongside sound artist Robin Price to deliver an integrated schools programme which will look at the World Around Us. Participants will be encouraged to experiment and investigate the natural environment introducing both simple techniques and new technologies. Willow - sill Baskets (Daylong Workshop) Saturday 4 August, 10:00-4:00pm, 30.00 This workshop is a great introduction to willow work, creating something sturdy, functional and attractive and perfect for the summer garden.

Off the M1, take exit 11 to the M12 and the Northway towards Armagh. Take the first exit to Portadown town centre and follow the map. We are accessible by train and bus. PARKING There is street parking at the front of the Centre for a maximum of an hour and a car park at the end of William Street, with disabled parking. ACCESS All areas at MCAC are accessible through lifts and ramps for wheelchairs. An induction loop system assists visitors with hearing disabilities.
