PRESENTS Modern Rhythm S P R I N G / S U M M E R 2 0 1 7 For Spring Summer 2017 Modern Rhythm takes inspiration from the vibrant youth culture that surrounded Two-Tone British Ska and combines it with the spirit of the sharp, smart 60s American Jazz scene. The essence of Modern Rhythm is captured through key seasonal themes: Sixties Sharp, British Beat, West Coast Sound Studio, and Sixties Pool Party. Sixties Sharp elevates casual to a luxe level with laminated wools, cotton sateen and polished textured tonics. A colour palette of midnight black, petrol blue, and dark plum is balanced with whites, heathered greys and classic blues. All elements combined help to create a confident sixties spirit that echo a smart tailored attitude. British Beat has a vibrant summer spirit with Ska references from the past and fuses them with modern fabrications, the key looks feature the iconic fish-tail summer parka in lightweight nylon, short sleeve knitted retro shirts, and the Epsom coat a technical waterproofed linen overcoat. Colours such as indigo ink blue, fresh greys, and summer tonic blues, are brightened with pops of orange in knits and jersey which underpin the iconic 60s British styling. The West Coast Sound Studio has a fresh approach to summer with a monochrome palette enlivened by the summer sky, pink, fuchsia, mint, and white these are balanced with light seasonal colours of stone and whitened blues with rich tobacco browns. Inspired by the 60s rhythm and blues, this collection adds a fresh sophistication to summer fabrics using two tone patterns inspired by the décor of iconic sixties recording studios highlighted in the collections as 60s geo prints, in swim shorts and relaxed shirting. The Sixties Pool Party revisits 1960s poolside style with brand DNA touches for the modern man. The collection features a hand-drawn British Hawaiian floral shirt taking you from poolside to party. For high summer, shirts are worn looser and layered with 60s inspired toweling tees. Bandana print inspired shirts also bring a new splash of high summer colour paired back with slub-linen shorts. Iconic oxfords are refreshed in lemon hues then styled with printed swim-shorts, capturing the spirit of our 60s pool party.

THE ARCHIVE SHIRT COLLECTION 70s Gingham A collection of limited edition shirts from the archives 80s TARTAN In 1963, Ben Sherman redefined the shirt, taking it from a staple to a statement. This spirit of innovation is what the company is built on and it remains as true today as it did over 50 years ago. For the first time, Ben Sherman opens up the original shirt archives taking you back to where it all started with a capsule collection of reissued classic Ben Sherman shirts. To truly represent the original Ben Sherman shirt, the iconic details are present: the button down collar, chest pocket, box pleat, locker loop, the back neck button, and most importantly the famous signature tab branding on the left chest.
