The specifications for these uniforms are attached. Bid specifications may be obtained at the Pigeon Forge Police Department Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or at the following web address: www.cityofpigeonforge.com. Proposals not meeting the requirements will be rejected. The City of Pigeon Forge reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept the bid deemed most favorable to the City. We also reserve the right to accept any portion or all of a bid. Bids must be good through March 2012. The bid may be extended in one year increments up to an additional five years by agreement of both parties. Orders and measurements for an individual must be taken at the Pigeon Forge Police Department in order to insure accurate sizes. Quotation must reflect differences in prices, sizes, and brands if such difference exists. Bidder agrees by placing bid that no bills will be submitted to the Pigeon Forge Police Department until all items on order are received and accepted by the Pigeon Forge Police Department as correct. Bidders shall not add any conditions or qualifying statements to this bid, except as provided herein, as otherwise the bid may be declared irregular as not being responsive to the Advertisement for Bids. Pigeon Forge Police Department Uniform Specifications It is the intent of these specifications to set a minimum standard for Police uniforms and equipment. It is understood that these are minimum standards. All bids shall meet or exceed the following requirements. All colors must match exactly to the uniforms currently in use. ITEMS: Description HATS: SUMMER: WINTER: Pants: Belt Loops: Stripe: Design: Pocket Design: Waistband: Fly: Hem: Forest Green, Triple Brim, Straw Campaign Black Vinyl & Fur Trooper Cap CLASS A 11 1/2-12 oz. 100% Polyester Visa System 3 Serge (Forest Green) There shall be 7 belt loops, 3/4" wide of double thickness. The waistband shall measure approximately 1" wide when finished. 1" black stripe from bottom of waistband to the bottom of the trouser leg. 100% Polyester nyla twist, lacquered. The trouser shall incorporate a plain front, two quarter top pockets and two hip pockets with a tab of left hip pocket. Two uniform quarter top pockets, pockets and all stress points to be securely bartacked for added strength. The waistband must contain Snug-Tex waistband to keep shirts tucked in. There shall be a French Fly tab closure on the inside of the right fly. A button shall be located on the left fly corresponding with the French Fly tab to provide a clean and comfortable closure.
