Surfactant Concentrate Iselux SLC INCI Name: Water (and) Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate (and) Sodium Lauroamphoacetate (and) Cocamide MIPA (and) Sodium Benzoate Iselux SLC is a concentrated surfactant blend developed for use in formulating structured sulfate-free personal care products. It is an optimized blend designed for use in cleanser formulas where the addition of a high level of oils or otherwise incompatible materials is desired. This concentrate allows a formulator to quickly and easily develop stable finished formulations. It is ideal for use in body washes, shampoos and hand washes. This blend is free from sulfates, EO, amides, and is readily biodegradable. All of its components are derived from natural, readily renewable resources (plant derived) Performance Benefits Structured liquid concentrate with a unique rheology profile that provides lotion and cream-like textures. Unlike many structured systems, it is stable under freeze/thaw conditions. Mild and provides a dense, luxurious lather while leaving behind an elegant after-feel on skin and hair. Exceptional performance and stability in the presence of high levels of oils and fragrances, high density particles, high molecular weight polymers, and other cationic ingredients. Easy to use and can be cold-processed. Aids in retention of hair color. Foam Properties Iselux SLC allows for superior lather and foam quality in a formulation. As demonstrated in a foam cylinder test, an Iselux SLC formulation containing 20% canola oil shows initial flash foam as well as the outstanding foam stability after 5 minutes of standing.

Once completely dispersed, add trace amounts of citric acid solution until mixture clears. 2 Add phases B and C while continuing to slowly mix. 3 Slowly blend in phase D and mix until uniform. 4 Begin premixing phase E and once uniform, add to main system. 5 Continue to mix until uniform. 6 Blend phase F into the system. 7 Add compatible preservative, dye(s) and fragrance. 8 Adjust ph of system to 5.0-5.5 with citric acid solution (50% aqueous) as required. System should thicken noticeably with ph adjustment. 9 Mix gently for at least 15 minutes to reach final consistency. 10 Add phase I and incorporate with gentle mixing.
