If a ph value above 6. is set, WorléeAqua Thix 1 is active and thickens and stabilizes emulsions. It is both temperature-stable and can be heated up to 9 C, as well as shear stable, so that production with a rotor-stator mixer, disperser, bead mill, or homogenizer is possible. However, even low shear forces are sufficient for a good distribution since it is a liquid product. WorléeAqua Thix 1 is not freeze/thaw stable and should be stored between 4 and 25 C. The polymer in finished applications, however, is freeze/thaw stable. The product should be pumped with a low shear pump. Multivalent cations flocculate WorléeAqua Thix 1 irreversible. The minimum shelf life is 12 months. The tan δ of WorléeAqua Thix 15 is completely independent of SLES/CAPB ratio. All other products need a higher use level to achieve a tan δ below.3. So WorléeAqua Thix 15 is most cost effective. WorléeAqua Thix 15 has the highest viscosity of all products with SLES/CAPB ratio of 1:2. For high-betaine shower gels and a SLES/CAPB ratio of 7.2:4.8 WorléeAqua Thix 15 has the requested viscosity level. Polymer C is too viscous and obtain a undesirable stringy texture. The two other polymers need a higher use level or a co-thickener. WorléeAqua Thix 15 shows the best clarity and very transparent shower gels can be produced. Formulation and Processing WorléeAqua Thix 2 is compatible with a wide range of ingredients, including foodgrade preservatives, surfactants, humectants, cationic polymers, oils, and salts, which are commonly used in cleansing products. The polymer undergoes instantaneous thickening and builds suspension power when neutralized with a base. It is supplied as a low-viscosity easy-to-use liquid form; therefore it can be incorporated directly into formulations and is suitable for cold process. Add WorléeAqua Thix 15/2 to mixing container and dilute with deionised water Add surfactants while stirring Set ph-value above 6. with a base Add remaining ingredients Set the ph value to the desired value by adding an acid or base. WorléeAqua Thix 2 remains transparent and clear at ph values less than 6, while WorléeAqua Thix 15 gets cloudy. If desired, exfoliants, peeling particles, beads, spheres, mica etc. can now be added However, WorléeAqua Thix 15/2 can also be added after adding all surfactants or at later steps. If the ph value is then already above 6., WorléeAqua Thix 15/2 should be diluted with water before addition and added with sufficient stirring to avoid the formation of gel clumps. Although this dissolves after prolonged stirring, it takes some time. WorléeAqua Thix 15/2 is not freeze/ thaw stable and should be stored between 4 to 25 C. WorléeAqua Thix 2 Rheology Modifier and Thickening Agent for Low ph Cleansing Formulations WorléeAqua Thix 2 shows a good viscosity comparable to the Crosspolymer-4. Although the viscosity of the Copolymer is higher, the viscosity is too high, so that removal from a packaging is hardly possible any more. Reducing the amount of Copolymer is not an option; otherwise the tan δ would get to high. A tan δ below.3 means that beads and particles can be permanently suspended in suspension. WorléeAqua Thix 2 forms a sufficient yield stress while the Crosspolymer-4 does not stabilize beads and particles adequately. The WorléeAqua Thix 2 shows the best transmittance, whereas visible opacity can be seen especially in the Copolymer. WorléeAqua Thix 2 thus shows excellent balanced properties of transparency, thickening, and yield stress.
