DEBS TEXTILE CORPORATION COMPANY PROFILE

Creating Inspirational Fabrics Silky, Supple, Elegant. A Rich Variety. Timeless Quality.

Who We Are Debs Textile Corporation is a manufacturer and seller of textile piece goods mainly for the womenswear market. Headquartered in Japan, we integrate the most innovative yarns and finishing techniques to offer our customers fabrics that are beautiful yet functional, luxurious yet affordable, and inspirational yet commercial. Since the Debs family first came to Japan in 1917 and officially established the company in 1932, we have continued to adapt to the constantly evolving industry with a great passion, and have now become one of the largest textile converting and trading groups out of Japan. The group is integrated in both manufacturing and trading to flexibly support the various demands of the market and currently exports to more than 70 countries. We strive to make fabric buying easy and accessible by integrating both our converting and trading operations into simple and carefully designed collections that are available through our sales networks worldwide. We hope that our unique textile products become a source of inspiration and we invite everyone that works with us to " share the passion! Our History 1917 - The arrival of Ezzat Debs to Japan, the first of the Debs family to come to the Orient. Ezzat was the son of a textile merchant and owner of a cotton processing mill in the Middle East. 1928 - The arrival of Abdul Hadi Debs to Japan to assist his brother, Ezzat, in establishing a trading company that will export silk and cotton greige goods to their affiliates in the UK, Middle East, and Africa. 1932 - The establishment of A. Debs & Company, a general trading company based in Yokohama, Japan. 1950 - The arrival of Fouad Debs, nephew of Ezzat and Abdul Hadi to Japan to help with the opening of the Osaka Branch office. He worked in Osaka to specialize and expand on the growing trade of textile piece goods. 1981 - A. Debs & Company ventures into fabric converting of their own original fabrics, and begins establishing relationships with weavers and finishers. 1987 - The company pioneers a new type of fabric Sandwashed Cupro which becomes an instant hit and success, launching the company strongly into the European, USA, and Latin American countries. 1992 A. Debs & Company is incorporated and renamed Debs Corporation with Soubhi Debs as its President & CEO. The mission was to upgrade and grow its converting business. 2008 The company presents its collections at the esteemed Premiere Vision show in Paris, strengthening its presence as a producer of quality fabrics. 2013 Debs Corporation launches their AirDye technology, a low-cost waterless textile coloration system that offers speed, accurate color matching, and automation from design through bulk production. 2015 Debs Corporation is renamed Debs Textile Corporation, with an aim to expand its global converting business while integrating new technologies.

Our Business Textiles is a highly intimate field of work. We wear, touch, see, and get inspired by fabrics on a daily basis. It is an integral part of our everday lives and requires extensive detail to develop a single fabric. We make sure that our fabric developments are created with passion and our aspirations are communicated with every player involved - textile designers, fiber makers, weavers, dyers and finishers, technology providers, and even chemical companies. And once the fabric is developed, it s our turn to share the story of the product with our customers so that we continue to build the story around that fabric. Made With Japan In a globalized environment, no single country is a producer in its totality. At Debs, we have set up a production system which enables us to bring together the best of two worlds the quality, technology, and innovation of Japan and the textile production infrastructures in Asia. We strive to bridge the cultural differences between everyone involved and develop mutually beneficial business partnerships through product development and innovation. We have coined the term Made with Japan to summarize this cowllaborative and flexible approach to product development and production within the Asian region. We design our fabrics in Japan together with fashion designers, selecting and developing yarns that match our direction. We create the fabric constructions in collaboration with weavers and other partners in the industry and set the path for overseas converting. When we feel a fabric should be produced outside Japan, the technology is then transferred to our overseas partner mills which are selected on specific criteria to develop that particular product. Technicians are sent to train and communicate the know-how related to finishing of the specific yarns and weaves. And when we feel the opportunity to create special finishes using our state-of-the-art factories in Japan, we import the raw material yarn and greige and develop the products in our factories. Whatever we do, we make sure to add the Japanese touch to all our fabrics!

Innovation D-LAB is our center of innovation. Japan is home to the world's largest number of registered patents and has astounding innovation across many industries, many of which are applicable to the textile field. Unfortunately there is little access to these technologies and when accessed, it takes time to commercialize the technologies due to communication and cultural barriers. D-LAB was founded on these premises and allows customers to easily access and commercialize these technologies. We have a team ready to help customize innovation with full confidentiality so that the projects are protected, controlled and executed in a speedy manner. We constantly launch technological innovations and brainstorm these ideas with our customers. We make great effort to commercialize the product using our flexible global converting system. D-LAB is on the constant lookout for what's new and we welcome any research and development projects from our customers.

Our Collections is the Debs flagship collection which represents the best and most innovative fabrics produced out of Japan. Each fabric in the collection is an original, proudly developed and produced using our in-house design and production resources. Each season, up to 60 new fabrics are developed and represent the newest of yarns and finishes, many that are proprietary to Debs. combines the best of our international converting operations and our international trading operations. With affiliate production offices in Korea, Indonesia, and China, we develop and source our own fabrics with local weavers and finishers. The collection is designed to complement the Tokyo Passion collection with more affordable fabrics and fabrics that cannot be produced in Japan. The collection is also managed with the same level of service as Japan, making it easier for the customer to purchase fabrics from these countries. consists of fabrics that are designed specifically for the lingerie, intimates, and active sportswear market. The fabrics are developed using Debs technologies and know-how and incorporate special yarns and finishes that are soft, delicate, and functional. The collection is made up of super-light and delicate wovens, stretch wovens, and specialty knits.

Technology AirDye is a revolutionary, cost-efficient sustainable technology that enables water-free dyeing and printing on textiles. It is made up of various proprietary technologies that make custom coloration and printing easy and effective. It solves the modern day problems of excessive water pollution and clean water scarcity, and provides customers with a sustainable and responsible method to color and print fabrics. Accurate Color. Through proprietary software, AirDye enables color accuracy from color development, to sampling, to bulk production across various basecloths and lightsources. Fast. AirDye colors and prints can be developed within days and sampling can be dyed or printed with full color accuracy quickly and efficiently. Back and forth color approvals that create delays in production can be avoided, thus streamlining the entire development-to-bulk leadtime. Brilliant Colors. AirDye is so advanced that it not only colors the yarn, but also thousands of filaments in each yarn, yielding rich and brilliant colors. Penetration is complete. Environmentally Efficient. Using AirDye can save up to 95% of the water, 86% of the energy, and 84% of the greenhouse gases as compared to conventional print and dye methods. On a single garment, the water savings alone can be as much as 170 liters. And with no large production minimums and accurate color matching, the speed and material efficiency of AirDye eliminates significant waste in the lifecycle of garment production.
