Possible Solutions Here are some potential solution ideas. I m including this list in case your students are having a hard time thinking of ideas. I encourage you to let students try the problems before sharing ideas or examples. This builds critical thinking and problem solving skills. Of course, with tasks such as these, there is no one correct answer, these are just ideas: 1. attach a sticker magnet to the back of the nametag, and use a magnet through the shirt to wear it. 2. create a cloth strap that is held together by magnets 3. attach magnets to the front of the binder so that it stays closed. 4. attach a magnet to a stick and softly swish it in the sand like a metal detector (this is assuming that the necklace is made of magnetic material, many but not all are). 5. attach a sticker magnet to both sides of the wallet so they stick together 6. attach a a magnetic strip to the door and edge of the cabinet so it stays closed (this is how refrigerator doors work!) 7. attach a sticker magnet to the desk and make nametags with magnets attached or on magnetic paper. 8. Attach a magnet to her keychain, and then whenever they are lost, use a magnet wand to find them 9. Use a magnetic wand or other long magnet to pick up the pieces 10.
