TRAPPED "Chained to Reality and left to die. Fighting against the box of Normality. A show about sexual frustration, feminism and Artistic dehydration. All told through 5 of the greatest artists in history. "ART NEEDS AN OPERATION" Tristan Tzara 1919." The characters of TRAPPED are loosely based on the following artists: Pablo Picasso and Dora Maar (who where involved intimately and artistically for 9 years.) Raoul Hausmann and Hannah Höch (who where also involved intimately and artistically.) and Claude Cahun who was a transgender, best known for her self-portrait photographs, and poetry. As the Author of TRAPPED I, as all writers worldwide, try to capture the phenomenal movement in time, that obscured fabulous magnificent energy for which will create that fantastically cleaver storyline, with a million dollar plot... Well let's be honest. I'm just another artist, who has lived, and breathed within the theatre business for nearly 15 years and therefore have a pretty realistic view on both Art in general and the pursuit of something brilliant. See, the truth is; I had been hit by REALITY and suddenly I felt TRAPPED inside this self-created plastic bubble, for which I couldn't breathe in. I was wondering how other artists through history have done it and started my research. To my horror I found that reality of 2013 isn't that far away from the reality of 1869. I myself am beaten up by both MORALITY and NORMALITY on a daily basis and have had my ass wooped by life for quite some time. See, I didn't write something brilliant but i did write a story from my heart and a story which hopefully will leave an audience thinking - "Would I treat the fish, or would I change the water?". MARIA KJÆRGAARD Age: 20 Maria has been playing theatre since 2006. She has been in over 15 different stage performances and countless events, attended different theater classes and been in 3 different short movies. PETER LIDEGAARD Age: 24 Peter has been playing theatre since 2008. Six months into his acting career he was accepted for a one year Talent team / Master class. LAILA FARIS Age: 22 Laila has been acting since the age of 12. With ten years of experience Laila has been involved with many theater performances and events.
