Technical specifications and reprocessing of textiles Technical specifications Technical performance descriptions are used for purchasing or as a base for public tendering. The document contains the necessary requirements for the PPE, which are essential for selection or production. In order to ensure faultless and continuous production, all the relevant parameters are documented beforehand. To guarantee a smooth implementation, we will support you with technical performance descriptions. Every relevant parameter is defined, such as the requirements for the materials to be processed, the usability of the textile as well as the finished measurements and detailed execution in production. 19 Utilise our expertise in the preparation of technical performance descriptions for the best possible purchasing process. Once the technical performance description is implemented correctly, it reduces the workload of future projects and ensures greater efficiency. Additionally, you optimise the quality control processes: when the requirements are more accurately defined, it is easier to verify quality. Leasing of textiles The leasing of textiles has gained importance in a number of industries over recent years. Requirements for textile products such as workwear, protective clothing (PPE), business wear or flat linen (table linen, bedding) are stringent. This is particularly true with respect to suitability for care or reprocessing in industrial laundries. At the same time, for economic reasons, textiles used for leasing should be able to be used for as long as possible without significant deterioration in terms of appearance or function. The Hohenstein Quality standard 701ff defines all relevant aspects relating to suitability for leasing or rental for textiles for different fields of application. In terms of procuring leasing textiles, we can offer neutral assessment, so guaranteeing the level of security you require in terms of the optimal product life span. In addition to visual aspects, we pay particular attention to functional aspects. To determine the extent to which a textile is suitable for care in commercial laundries and for use in leasing, the colour fastness, mechanical characteristics and care characteristics are tested for all components in ready-made textiles. To carry out the required pre-treatment of the materials, the Hohenstein Group is equipped with a complete laundry pilot plant (household linen, industrial reprocessing including tumbler or tunnel finisher treatment as well as drycleaning).
