This diverse beauty therapy course equips you with advanced skills and knowledge to work at a senior level in the industry. This is the entry-level qualification recognised by the hairdressing industry. With a real working salon at our Geelong City Campus, you ve got the option to study full-time with us or as an apprentice in the industry. Choose to. 1) Study full-time on-campus You will gain knowledge and experience both in industry and at The Studio, our hair and beauty salon, using internationally renowned Pivot Point resources. You can expect four days class attendance each week, plus industry placement throughout the course. 2) Undertake an apprenticeship As an apprentice, you will be employed in the industry and undertake some on-campus study as: Day release: one day each week for 34 weeks per year, or Block release: five days per week for seven weeks a year. This is a dynamic course that focuses heavily on session styling for high-fashion make-up and hair. Apprenticeships and Traineeships Apprenticeships and traineeships are a great way to combine paid work with structured training. They allow you to gain a nationally-recognised qualification along with great industry skills to set you up for your chosen career. How do I start? To become an apprentice or trainee, you first need to find an employer and sign a Training Contract through an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network Provider. What does The Gordon do? We will work with you and your employer to develop an Individual Training Plan. We also help deliver and assess your training both in the workplace, and on-campus at The Gordon. Need help?
