Worn. 2 A Tulwar, 78.5cm fullered curved blade, characteristic hilt with overlaid white metal foliate decoration, together with a composite North European hunting hanger, two worn smallswords, a modern Indian sword and a bayonet. (6) 3 A circular iron archaic Japanese tsuba, decorated with two storks, together with a further pierced iron tsuba decorated with a concentric vine containing two stylised dragons, a small pierced tsuba chiselled with waves and with silver dot highlights, a further pierced iron circular tsuba decorated w...[more] 4 An Indian matchlock longgun, 38.5inch barrel, full stocked with brass mounts. Generally worn, trigger lacking. 5 Two Indian axes, the first with double crescent head etched with foliage, crowns and tigers, spike terminal, carved hardwood haft, another with slender head and carved hardwood haft, a white metal mounted Eastern dagger and an alloy hilted kukri, both with scabbards. (4) 6 A Yataghan in worn condition, a Spanish folding knife, a Kukri, all with scabbards and a machete. (4) 7 Seven various African and Eastern knives. 8 An Arab Nimcha, 86cm curved and fullered European blade decorated with a moon and a sun and stamped A&F.C at the forte, characteristic hilt with down-turned quillons, damaged, plain wooden grip, contained in its tooled leather wrapped wooden scabbard. 9 A shamshir style Infantry Officer's sword, 79cm curved blade, characteristic steel hilt with tapering crossguard with ball terminals, steel back strap, ergonomic wooden grip, contained in its steel scabbard. Turkish (?) 10 A Kris, 35.5cm wavy watered steel blade, characteristic carved wooden hilt in the form of a stylised God and carved with two small masks, gilt brass collar set with polished rock crystal stones, contained in its embossed white metal mounted wooden scabbard decorated with a panel of foliage and feath...[more] 11 An African dagger of the Hadendoa Tribe, 24cm flattened diamond section waisted blade incised with three notches at the forte on either side, characteristic exaggerated X form hard wood grip, contained in its finely tooled leather scabbard with ornate white metal chape, together with a horn hilted S...[more] 12 An excavated Lug Spear head, 33.5cm over all length, with leaf shaped blade and raised medial ridge with opposing lags on the haft collar. Probably 15th Century, acid cleaned. 13 Three various elements of chain mail. 14 A modern full armour, comprising breast and back plate, tassets, fully articulated arm and leg defences, and crude helmet, fully mounted and standing on a wooden plinth. 15 A flintlock New Land Pattern Service Pistol, 9inch barrel with English and Belgian proofs, border engraved lock stamped with a crown and TOWER across the tail, full stocked with regulation brass mounts. 16 An 18-bore Turkish or Ottoman flintlock holster pistol, 12.75inch tapering barrel decorated with stylized writing at the breech, border and scroll engraved lock and cock, full stocked with border and scroll engraved steel mounts, long-eared white metal butt cap. Rotating hammer nose retaining clip lacking. 21 A six-shot percussion transitional revolver by Reilly, 4inch sighted octagonal barrel, the top flat with maker's details, border and scroll engraved rounded action, chequered wooden grips. 22 A clean six-shot pinfire revolver, 2.5inch barrel retaining traces of original finish and with EIG proof marks, blued fluted cylinder, folding trigger, varnished walnut grips, butt with ejector rod. 23 An East India Company percussion carbine, 23inch sighted barrel with various inspectors' stamps, bevelled lock converted from flintlock and stamped with an inspector's mark and the rampant lion, full stocked with regulation brass mounts, swivel ramrod. 24 A double barrelled percussion sporting gun, 28.5inch sighted barrels, border engraved back action locks, half stocked with chequered wrist, plain steel mounts, later ramrod. 25 An 1853 Pattern percussion rifle-musket, 39inch sighted barrel fitted with ramp and ladder rear sights, border engraved lock stamped 1857 over TOWER and with a crown over V.R. at the tail, full stocked with regulation brass mounts, steel ramrod. Body worn. 28 A small modern framed and glazed cartridge board. 29 A miscellaneous selection of gun furniture and accessories, to include a turnscrew, spring clamp, bullet mould, oil bottle, a bag of flints, and various parts of ramrods. 30 A small selection of accessories, to include a.450 bullet mould, insert lacking, a further bullet mould stamped 4, though not 4-bore, two small scissor bullet moulds, a worn military combination tool, three various leather shot flasks, three various Eastern powder flasks, three modern embossed powd...[more] 31 Four various 19th Century and later truncheons or coshes to include an unusual and highly decorative ring-turned example with faceted carved head. 32 A small collection of powder and shot flasks, comprising a late 18th Century example in polished horn, two further horn flasks, two embossed copper flasks, a leather shot flask and various percussion cap tins and lead balls. (Parcel) 34 A brass cap dispenser, of circular form with ring turned decoration and suspension loop, 1.75inches diameter. 20th Century. 35 An early 20th Century Khaki peaked cap to the Notts and Derby Regiment, the green khaki body with two large ventilation holes, green backed peak stiffener, the black coated cloth interior with wire top stiffener, together with another similar to the Machine Gun Corp made of cheaper quality cloth and...[more] 36 A crude copy of an 18th Century Mitre Top Grenadiers type cap, of crude construction with a mixture of crude insignia, together with a composite replica bell top shako, a crude composite blue cloth helmet to the York and Lancaster Regiment, another, and a copy Highland Light Infantry shako. (5) 37 A khaki Glengarry to the Royal Scots, a tropical helmet with tartan patch, a further Glengarry to the Glasgow Highlanders, and two further. (5) 38 A Continental shako or kepi, together with three similar. (4) 39 An American 19th Century peaked cap, the inside stamped NY Vols, together with another later to a cavalry regiment, a further shako, an American blue cloth helmet with plume, and a composite white helmet with plume to the 19th Alberta dragoons. (5) 40 A First World War German helmet in relic condition, together with two 20th Century American helmets, a modern British helmet, two water bottles and a mess tin. (7) 41 A 19th Century high topped hat, probably Welsh, together with a further conventional top hat, a collapsible top hat, (generally worn), a modern Staffordshire fire brigade helmet, a British Red Cross hat, a Royal Engineer's cap, an Artillery beret, a Salvation Army cap, and two further side caps. 42 Five 19th Century and later bicorn and tricorn court hats, to include a naval officer's hat in japanned tin. 43 A side drum to the Royal Welch Fusiliers, by Henry Potter, with battle honours ending Gaza and Baghdad, reskinned and restrung crudely, together with a Hawkes & Son 1915 dated bugle, with arrow stamp, another by Keat & Sons dated 1903, another by Boosey, a further copy bugle, and a copper flask. (6) 44 Three various water bottles, all British, an American example, various webbing, a small collection of gas masks, to include a Mickey Mouse gas mask, (the former generally worn and perished), three regimental ice buckets, etc. 45 Three Various 19th Century American leather cartridge pouches, the first with applied brass plaque to the flap NG, the inside with maker's stamps for Frazier's Patent 1872 and McKenny & Co.
