Appendix A DRESS CODE STUDENT All students attending Narre Warren South P-12 College must wear the College uniform. Students who are not correctly attired will need to provide a letter of explanation from their parents/guardians. Consequences may apply for a student who is out of uniform without parent/guardian permission. ALL STUDENTS Accessories All approved accessories should be navy blue, yellow or white. Hair Extreme hair colours are not permitted i.e. hair is not to be dyed (sprayed, chalked or otherwise coloured) bright blue, pink, etc. No hair extensions, excessive hair ornaments or excessive hairstyles, are to be worn at school. Hair accessories are to be plain navy blue, yellow or white. Hats Please refer to the College Sun Smart Policy Jewellery Students are permitted to wear no more than two (2) earrings. Earrings must be either small studs or sleepers. One finger ring is permitted provided it does not present a safety issue and is appropriate as determined by the Principal. Items of a religious nature are permitted provided they do not present a safety issue and are discreet. Other permissible jewellery: A watch A single bracelet Facial piercing/s are permitted provided they comply with the following: Clear balls no more than 2mm in diameter. All piercings (ears or facial) must be covered for Sport, Science, Food Tech and Technology subjects. Opsite tape is the preferred covering. No more than two (2) facial piercings. No rings. A signed agreement form, including signed parental consent, is provided to the College. (see Appendix C) The College accepts no responsibility in the event of an injury resulting from the piercing/s being torn out. Failure to provide a signed parental consent form will mean the removal of the facial piercing/s whilst at school, and the student will be subject to current disciplinary actions. Uniform Policy Appendix A (continued) 2 Shoes Secondary students are to wear polishable black leather lace up or t-bar/plain buckle shoes. Secondary students are only permitted to wear runners on sport days when dressed in sports uniform. Slip-on shoes, ballet flats and skate shoes are not acceptable. Sneakers are not acceptable for Secondary students in any circumstance other than students wearing P.E Uniform as they have P.E lessons that day. Please refer to Appendix D for image examples of appropriate footwear.
