SOLANGE KNOWLES BONANG MATHEBA SARAH JESSICA PARKER You can be a turban trendsetter too. Just follow these simple step-by-step instructions and never worry about a bad hair day again! STEP 1 STEP 2 STEP 3 STEP 4 Topknot Add a bit of edge to your look with this head wrap. Use a rectangular scarf and a scarf doughnut*. Place the doughnut slightly to the side of your head. African princess Line up the scarf with the base of your head. Hold an end in each hand, with both sides the same length. Gently pull the ends forward and knot on your forehead. Twist the ends, wrap them around the doughnut and tuck in the ends. Turbans need bold accessories. Think chunky bangles, a bold necklace or large earrings. 1. You need two rectangular scarves, one plain and one with a print, as well as a scarf doughnut*. 2. Line up the plain scarf with your hairline on your forehead. Hold an end in each hand, with both sides the same length. Wrap around your head, cross at the back and tuck in at the front. 3. Place a scarf doughnut on top to add bulk. 4. Place one end of the printed scarf on the side of your head and wrap the scarf around your head. Tuck in the loose end. Classic chic A turban can add a touch of drama to practically any look, from jeans and a plain white tee to evening wear. 1 2 3 4 1. Use a rectangular scarf. Line up the scarf with the base of your head. Hold an end in each hand, with one long and one short side. 2. Gently pull the ends up in front of you. Cross and knot them on your forehead. 3. Wrap the longer end around your head and tuck the end into the knot. 4. Now wrap the short length over the knot and tuck in for a neat finish. HOW TO MAKE A SCARF DOUGHNUT* Use a scarf doughnut to give your turban volume. It s handy when you have short or thin hair and need extra volume. Take a rectangular scarf and twist the entire length. Start rolling it into a circle and tuck in the end. STEP 1 STEP 2 You need a plain and a printed rectangular scarf. Wrap the plain one the same as you did for the African princess (look on the left-hand page). Line up the printed scarf with the base of your head.
