What to Expect
WE Local is Going Green! What does this mean? In order to keep registration prices low and offer more value, WE Local conferences are turning to alternative green options Efforts Will Include: Tote your own tote initiative Digital program book Reusable lanyard sleeve please return at the end of the conference 5
Wi-Fi Wi-Fi will not be available at the conference Wi-Fi may be purchased through the San Jose Marriott at the expense of the attendee 6
Admission Access WE Local San Jose offered a variety of registration options. Please make note as to what is available with your registration: Attendee Sponsors/Exhibitors and attendees with an Attendee admission have access to all breakout sessions, plenary panels, keynote speakers, WE Local Celebration, WE Achieve Awards Ceremony and breakfast and lunch on Friday and Saturday. Career Fair Only Career Fair Only attendees only have access to the Career Fair. There are no meals, food or drinks, breakout sessions, keynote speakers, or plenary panels available with this registration. Speaker Only Speakers who are only able to attend their workshop have Speaker Only admission. This does not allow entry for meals, breakout sessions, keynotes or the like. 7
How to Prepare
Attire Recommendations*, General Sessions Smart Casual Business Attire Women: jacket or dressy sweater, dress pants or skirt, blouse, shirt, top or turtleneck, tights (if needed), dress shoes, and accessories, as necessary Men: sports jacket with/without tie, dress pants, button down, traditional business shirt, dress shoes, as described in business attire *Attire recommendations are a suggestion and not required for attendance. 9
Attire Recommendations*, WE Local Celebration Dressy Casual Women: nice pants/denim or skirts and dressy blouse/top, sweaters, vests, dress and nice shoes Men: khakis, dress pants, or Docket-type pants, dress shirts or golftype shirts with collars, sweaters, optional informal jacket and tie, and nice shoes *Attire recommendations are a suggestion and not required for attendance. 10
Attire Recommendations*, WE Achieve Awards Festive Attire Women: cocktail dress, long dressy skirt and top, dressy pants outfits and/or separates or black dress and cardigan and/or dressy jacket Men: optional seasonal sport coat or blazer, slacks, dress pants, sweater, vest, button down collar shirt, dress shirt or open-collar shirt and tie Festive Attire Colors? Mother s/prayers Room WE Local has secured a room for attendees to have a quiet, private space for nursing and/or time for contemplation or prayer. Accessibility The room is only accessible by key which may be picked up/returned in the volunteer room: Guadalupe. Location Room 3A a refrigerator is also provided Hours Available throughout WE Local conference *Please note, daycare will not be available at WE Local San Jose. 16
Room Capacity When WE Local San Jose session rooms meet capacity, attendees will be required to attend another session. Please, be prepared in case this happens.
