INTRODUCTION Congratulations, on your virgin hair purchase. You ve just made a great investment because virgin human hair is the highest quality extensions in the market. It is unprocessed human hair that is collected from a single donor of Indian, Brazilian, Malaysian, Peruvian, or Mongolian descent. The virgin human hair is Remy hair that has not been altered by any dyes, perms, bleaches, or harsh washes. Colored bundles are virgin human hair that is processed with hair dye. After processing, the hair becomes Remy hair, which is the second highest quality extensions in the market. Each texture can be regularly blow-dried, flat ironed, curled, roller-set, colored, and permed without compromising its remarkable quality or texture. However, now that the hair is cut from the donor s head, it is no longer receiving the much-needed nutriments. It s therefore vitally important for you to maintain and treat your hair extensions with the appropriate maintenance and products that will restore/maintain its beauty. This guide will help insure that you care for your hair properly. 2 P a g e
PRE INSTALLATION Once you receive your hair, it's always a good idea to wash or co-wash the extensions with a good moisturizing conditioner, prior to installing. Washing your hair with a good rinse-out conditioner can keep those tresses moisturized and healthy. For it to be effective make sure you are using a moisturizing conditioner not a protein conditioner. A protein conditioner will dry out your tresses. 3 P a g e

Frequently Asked Hair Care Questions How long does virgin hair last? With minimal maintenance, virgin hair can last indefinitely. Most weave wearers prefer natural/virgin hair because it is beautiful, unprocessed & lasts longer than any other kind of hair. The hair requires proper maintenance to establish its longevity. All lengths and textures require no more care than your own. The only time you will need to purchase additional hair is if you desire a longer length, or different texture. What oil/serum can you recommend for virgin hair? Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) Olive oil is a fantastic conditioner for hair, but there are many other things about this essential oil that make it a great go-to for hair care. It s also one of the top emollients that can penetrate the hair better than others, and its lightweight nature makes it great for moisturizing. Olive oil also contains anti-inflammatory properties that promote scalp health and prevent dandruff. Extra virgin oil is also rich in high levels of mono-unsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E, an antioxidant important for hair growth. Olive oil is not likely to cause an allergic reaction, making it ideal for sensitive skin and hair. You can also use extra virgin olive oil as a detangling treatment for weaves, wigs and natural hair. When you apply it to your weaves and wigs, it detangles the hair, nourishes and moisturizes the hair for a silkier feel for longer period. Give it a try and you will ditch all your store brands Does virgin hair shed/ tangle? Virgin hair should not shed or tangle if properly cared for. When you first receive the hair, there may be some left over hairs on the weft that will fall down when the extension is first washed or combed, THIS IS NOT REAL SHEDDING. Our hair wefts are sealed before shipment, so very minimal shedding occurs and this is no cause for alarm. The hair should also not tangle with proper daily care, however if your extensions start to tangle then it could be as a result of any of 8 P a g e
the following factors: dryness, oil & dirt build-up, salt-water, chlorine, improper dying techniques, low quality dying products or simply not combing your hair out daily Is it ok to blow dry, flat-iron, tong or curl virgin hair? You can absolutely treat your new hair just as you would your own. Curl it, straighten it and most of all enjoy it! When applying heat to your hair, always use a quality heat protectant. As your own hair; your extensions will become damaged by excessive heat. If your hair becomes heat damaged, it will lose its natural curl/wave pattern, or have many damaged dry or brittle ends. Heat damage cannot be reversed. Coarser textures are more prone to heat damage and dryness. Use heat in moderation as excessive heat dries out your hair and shortens its lifespan.for durability, it is advisable to buy the pattern you want directly and not change the existing hair pattern back and forth. If you prefer to wear your hair straight or wavy, then the wavy textures will be best for you since they offer the most versatility. Remember to clean your tools post-use to make sure product buildup doesn t cause hair to stick to the iron and burn. Can I dye my virgin hair? Virgin hair can be dyed, however you still have to be careful as you would with your real hair. Extra care will be needed because the hair is not attached to the scalp and does not retain its own moisture. You must be mindful to keep the hair hydrated and moisturized. Use good quality dying products as low quality dye products will damage the hair. Do not forget to deep condition the hair for at least 30 minutes after dying it. We also recommend co washing the hair before making any alterations. How do I brush/comb my virgin hair? Always brush your hair with a paddle/wig brush or wide toothed comb, starting from the bottom and working your way up to prevent tangling and shedding. A comb is probably better as it s less likely to rip hair from the weft. Curly hair textures should not be brushed as they can get frizzy. It is best to use a wide toothed comb or just run your fingers through the hair. Keep the hair tangle free by moisturizing daily. 9 P a g e
What should I do with my virgin hair when sleeping? Wrap your hair every night. As important as it is to take care of your hair in the daytime, it is imperative that night protection is in place. Silk, polyester or even rayon scarves work best but satin caps can also be utilized in conjunction with or in lieu of satin pillowcases. Cotton, on the contrary, is horrible for edges and hair in general due to its drying properties, especially when combined with the friction and pressure caused from changing sleeping positions. It is always best to make a loose braid or ponytail for sleeping and never go to sleep with wet hair. 10 P a g e
