THE BRAND The Tarian brand is built on a foundation of passion for eyewear, artful craftsmanship, exquisite details and technical precision. Tarian designs clearly resonate the beautiful blending of eyewear and art resulting in a personal statement of confidence and choice. All production is personally managed by Jérémy, and adds to the integrity, quality, and individuality of the designs. The Tarian Collection is available internationally in exclusive optical boutiques and speciality shops. THE COLLECTION The 2017 Tarian collection centres on lustrous acetate that recreates nature s most beautiful and pure elements: Ivory, Stone, and Marble. Distinctive characteristics of the acetate, made by the acclaimed Italian producers Mazzuchelli, ensure that the quality, durability and craftsmanship are in each design. The final result is frames with unique colourations and finishes that reflect nature s beauty. Beauty is what is comfortable for us, says the Parisian designer, and with this in mind, his frames are crafted to define and enhance the wearer s personality. jeremytarian.com 12 rue Dupetit Thouars, 75003 Paris, France

HEAD GENEVE EVA Earlier this year, Jérémy Tarian was invited to hold a workshop for ten selected students at HEAD Genève (Geneva University of Art and Design/Switzerland) as part of their studies for a Bachelor of Arts in Design. The Workshop s theme required students to reinterpret the tortoiseshell color from the Italian acetate factory Mazzuchelli. The winning concept by Eva Gaumé, a candidate for a Bachelor in Jewellery and Accessory Design, is called Eva. Its tortoiseshell color is surrounded with clear transparent acetate that evokes an illusory construction. There will be a limited edition of 100 pieces worldwide. This is Jérémy s second collaboration with HEAD Genève and Eva is marketed under Tarian +.
Jean Baptiste Fastrez VENICE Since 2010, French designer Jean-Baptiste Fastrez has been drawing inspiration from the materials and processes traditionally used in eyewear, creating a number of unique pieces. His Mask Mirrors collection, for the Kreo Gallery, is indeed composed of acetate -a material commonly used for glasses frames- while his recent Moto wall-lamp and Scarabée vase, both for Moustache, revisit sky-masks iridescent mirror finish. His talent and creativity soon caught the attention of famous eyewear designer Jeremy Tarian, who offered him collaboration in 2014. Jean-Baptiste Fastrez wanted to express his creativity on the glasses lenses rather than on their frame. For two years, he worked alongside an Italian glassmaker focusing on a unique technical challenge: to apply a pattern over the whole lenses outer surface while keeping it invisible from the inside so as not to impair visibility. And his Venice glasses certainly offer a unique experience! Their ocellus pattern was inspired by butterflies eyespots and revisits an old classic: the Butterfly glasses. Venice both evokes the grand Venetian carnival and the classic elegance of the masks, AND recalls the mythical Californian Venice Beach and its Culture of Appearances. Venice glasses: Made in Jura, France Available in both black and tortoiseshell finishes Limited series (150 editions)
ABOUT Global Designer Cultivates Nature & Art in Eyewear Paris and eyewear are synonymous for Jérémy Tarian. Born and raised in the «La Ville-Lumière» City of Lights - Tarian rode his bicycle and played in the city s elegant parks. Along with his enriched family heritage in legendary eyewear, these fond childhood memories, and his respect of the environment, are warmly intertwined throughout his collection. In addition, his intellectual curiosity and appreciation of nature s elements are revealed in his contemporary eyewear designs. I ve always lived in big cities, and have derived inspirations from all the shapes that we see every day. As I don t drive, I see everything from ground level, rather than flashes from a moving vehicle, allowing a more personal perspective and view of contours, balance, and symmetry. Jérémy s objective is to create frames that manifest tradition, timeless style, and excellent craftsmanship. Jeremy has successfully achieved his goals with his unique designs and experience blending art and nature s elements, with fine materials, quality production, and gifted artisans. Jeremy enthusiastically commented he enjoys working with a mix of acetate and metal, and experimenting with various color contrasts. Production is restricted to only 500 pieces each, resulting in a Limited Edition that is original and unique as well as evoking improved appearance and self-confidence. The award-winning designer, who has received two prestigious SILMO d Or, also provides an educational and enlightening workshop at the prestigious HEAD School in Geneva, Switzerland.
