INVITATION FROM THE COMMITTEE Dear supporters, It is with great pleasure that we present to you our initiative for this unique joint meeting of Scar Academy and European Tissue Repair Society (ETRS) 2018 in Amsterdam. This congress will highlight the most recent developments on fibrosis in the widest sense possible. Cohosts will be Global Scar Society, Scar Academy, Oscare, VU Univesity Medical Center, Dutch Burns Foundation, Association of Dutch Burn Centres and the French Wound Healing Societies. In 2,5 days our delegates will be able to follow lectures and participate in handson workshops on scar management, clinical applications of laser, microneedling and scar assessment techniques as well as research techniques on fibrosis. We will also highlight developments in other areas than skin, e.g. cleft lip and palate, oral wound healing, breast reconstruction after oncology, etc. We offer you, as our industrial colleagues and cooperators, the possibility to present your products and latest developments to our delegates in the following formats: Unique workshops covering topics of your interest, for a limited number of participants. The programme of these 1,5 hour workshops can be customized in collaboration with our programme committee. Several time slots for sponsored symposia of 1 hour will be available, serving the total audience of attendees or part of the delegate community. Exhibitor booths can be positioned at the conference center as part of the commercial exhibition. Several other opportunities for visibility are available upon request. ABOUT Worldwide, more than 100 million people suffer from problematic wound healing due to elective surgery, trauma or burns. Hypertrophic scars, keloids, scar atrophy and other types of pathologic scars are the visible outcome of these problems and can lead to poor cosmetic and functional results. If we want to strive for a scarless world, we need to link the knowledge of basic science researchers, woundcare nurses and scar specialists.
