Wellness at Latitude 10º You may notice at Latitude 10 that a feeling of pure peace and calm permeates the whole resort. We like to call it Pura Vida wellness. In-keeping with our philosophy for well-being, we offer you the following treatments to promote total wellness, provide deep relaxation, and to encourage the skin to restore its own vitality and beauty. Treatments may be enjoyed at our Meridian Spa, located in the main Clubhouse, or equally in the privacy of your bungalow or in a shady spot on the beach. Treatments are available Monday through Sunday from 7am to 6pm and can be set up in advance or at short notice. Treatments can be charged to your hotel bill.
Massages Any of the following massages may be received as full body treatments or on specific areas. 60 minutes $85 90 minutes $115 Holistic This massage relieves tension, reduces contractions and soothes sore muscles by increasing energy flow and range of motion. Using gentle to medium pressure, many techniques are integrated. You ll leave feeling nourished, relaxed and balanced. Deep Tissue This therapeutic massage is strong and concentrated, releasing deeply-held patterns of muscular contraction. Muscles and fascia are opened and lengthened and you ll feel a deep level of realignment in the body and mind. Myofascial Release Slow and gentle, this massage has profound effects on the body's tissues, relieving muscles from the grip of tight fascia. You will feel a new sense of balance and freedom in the body.
Pregnancy Massage This massage, aiming to relax muscle tension, relieve joint swelling, and improve lymphatic and blood circulation, is tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies, nurturing both mom and baby. After the first trimester (or during if preferred), you ll be positioned on your side with special pillows for extra comfort. Thai Originating in ancient India at the time of the Buddha, this massage will stretch, twist and press you into a blissful state, aligning the body s energies. The Thai massage will be given on a mat on the floor, and comfortable clothing is advised. Couples Choose from any of our massages and experience pure relaxation with someone you re close to. Connect and decompress together in the same treatment room.
Focused Treatments The following treatments focus on specific areas of the body, relieving tensions and promoting restoration and recovery. 90 minutes $115 Creating Space Akashic experience back, neck, shoulders Release physical tension in these areas which so commonly hold discomfort and stress. This treatment uses a deep tissue style, involving gentle but penetrating rocking movements, elongation, and acupressure to stimulate the body s natural self-healing abilities. A favorite among surfers. Expansion Inner Body Bright chest, pelvis, abdomen This internal organ massage removes blocked energy and increases breath capacity, working deeply on the abdominal muscles and pelvis. Your muscles will feel relieved of the grip of tight fascia, and this treatment will open the ribcage, giving the heart and lungs opportunity for maximum expression.
Yogis Path Integration & flexibility: lower back, iliopsoas, legs This treatment will allow you to re-establish the connection between your upper and lower body, restoring a range of motion and flexibility. The freedom created will deepen your Asana practice and enhance your physical pursuits. Restoration & Recovery Managing chronic pain and discomfort This personalized treatment focuses on relieving muscle and muscular-skeletal pain, commonly caused by injury, repetitive stress and poor posture. Traveler s Wellbeing Re-grounding shoulders, neck, lower back, internal organs, feet For those with wanderlust who embrace the rush of being constantly on the move in unfamiliar places, this treatment will ground you, promoting relaxation and peace through internal organ massaging, reiki, reflexology and therapeutic bodywork.
Facials We take a holistic approach with our refreshing facials. Each includes a mask tailored to your skin type, warm aromatic towels, cleansing exfoliation, and a cool cucumber mask to close the pores at the end of the treatment. All facials also include an extended face, neck and shoulder massage for deep relaxation. 60 minutes $65 Papaya, Carrot & Honey Pure Nutrition Packed with Vitamins A, C, E and beta-carotene, this facial is perfect for skin that has been exposed to excessive sun, salt water or air-conditioning. Bring elasticity back to the skin, while soothing and assisting its recovery and restoring its natural balance. Honey & Lemon Calming This facial helps to even out skin tone and eliminate spots. The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities of honey and lemon also help to clean and tone the skin s surface. White Clay & Lemon Detoxifying This treatment helps to purify the skin, reduce transepidermal water loss, restore skin function and promote cell renewal. Body Exfoliations Our exfoliations are full body treatments, designed to clean away dead skin cells, stimulate circulation, and help prepare the skin to absorb rich nutrients should you choose to enjoy any of our body wraps. All scrubs use natural ingredients and essential oils, and each treatment culminates with a 20-minute aromatic massage. 60 minutes $95 Tropical Dreams Hydrating & Renewing Coconut, sugarcane, vanilla, olive and coconut oil, organic tangerine and ginger essential oils... Tropical Dreams are made of these! Vitamins A and K present in this exotic, antioxidant-rich scrub help to prevent any dryness or peeling of the skin. They also help to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and improve the skin s elasticity. Coffee s Power Restoring, Energizing & Stimulating The unique combination of salt from the Gulf of Nicoya with organic local coffee and orange make this exfoliant an excellent cellulite buster. Kick start your skin s self-healing abilities with this very Costa Rican scrub.
Sunset Sense Relaxing Take advantage of nature s abundant gifts with this all-natural scrub which blends beach sand, aloe vera and ylang ylang essential oil. Feel a deep sense of relaxation and connection with your environment through the exotic fragrance of our most calming body exfoliation.

Reiki involves laying on hands and channels Universal Energy in order to create peace and balance between the mind, body and spirit. This therapy dissolves energy blocks, increases energy levels, creates deep relaxation and clears the mind whilst improving focus. Acupressure In traditional Chinese medicine, stimulating acupressure points can clear blockages, correct imbalances of Yin and Yang energy and promote self-healing in the body. Acupressure also promotes relaxation and the removal of toxins to improve certain chronic conditions such as high blood pressure. A perfect accompaniment for Reiki or any gentle massage.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage This special massage technique stimulates the circulatory and immunologic system through slow, soft and pain-free movements. The treatment promotes the elimination of excess liquid and toxins in the body in cases like swollen and/or tired legs, premenstrual symptoms and pregnancy. This massage is recommended to reduce anxiety and stress too. Reflexology Focusing on the feet and hands, reflexology eases stress and tension. About Meridian SPA Our Products Our oils and lotions are 100% organic and made in Costa Rica. We use therapeutic grade essential oils to maximize the objectives of each session. Our Policies Please arrive promptly for your appointment arriving late will unfortunately mean less time for your treatment. We recommend that you leave at least 1 hour between a meal and your treatment. We also ask that you kindly shower before all treatments out of courtesy to your therapist. We try to be as flexible with appointments as possible, however in the case of cancellations, please allow 6 hours minimum notice. Any fewer than this and 50% of your treatment cost will be charged. For no shows, 100% of the treatment cost will be charged. Our Provider GAIA Bodywork & Wellness is a team of highly qualified therapists and bodyworkers whose mission is to offer the most customised and excellent treatments and services. All team members, with their own specialities and skills, share their knowledge and experience with each other, creating an excellent group of passionate individuals.
