KAMPER/KALEO CLOTHING Please have all your kampers parents to write the child s first and last name on every article of clothing, bedding, and towels brought to kamp. This will assist our staff in being able to return those items if they become lost or misplaced. Also, please review the Modesty Policy and KAA Best Dress Code listed below. Be aware that these guidelines are for both Kamper and Kaleo and everyone will be expected to follow them. Modesty Policy/Dress Code - For Kampers and Kaleos 1. Daily attire for Kampers, staff, and Kaleos will consist of athletic shorts, shirts, jogging pants, or athletic warm-up suits. This aids in giving each Kamper, staff, and Kaleo the best possible experience as they participate in daily sports activities. Casual clothing may be worn at night. 2. No shirts with inappropriate or suggestive slogans or designs are to be worn. 3. Absolute personal modesty is to be observed, even while inside the cabin. We never sit around or walk around in the cabin without towels or clothing covering personal body parts. Nakedness at anytime is unacceptable unless dressing or undressing in an appropriate and timely manner. 4. Towels are to be worn at all times going to and from showers. Disrobing is to take place at the last possible minute before and after showers. 5. No staff, Kamper or Kaleo is permitted sleep in the nude. 6. No backpacks should be carried by any Kamper. 7. Athletic shoes and socks are to be worn at all times during the day. Exceptions: a) Flip-flops or sandals can be worn to and from showers but never outside the cabin since injured feet is often the result. b) Tevas or waders can be worn to and from water related activities. All sandals must have a strap around the ankle. Old tennis shoes are also acceptable to be worn as waders. c) Birkenstocks and sandals are allowed at meals and evening activities only. Socks must still be worn with these sandals. 8. Ponchos or raincoats may be worn on rainy days. 9. All body piercing must be removed or plugged prior to Kamp. 10. We never joke about, exemplify, emphasize, or otherwise call attention to sexual body parts. No jokes and/or comments are to be made or directed to anyone regarding sensitive subjects. This is not appropriate at anytime and is considered as overt sexual abuse.

Males Clothing Modesty 1. Males are required to wear shirts at all times unless they are in an all male class. Shirts are to be worn when attending meals, social events, to and from the pool, and worship services, and any place where females are present. 2. Males are not allowed to wear track shorts. No underwear should be showing and there should be no sagging with any shorts or pants. 3. Males are not allowed to wear thin undershirt tank tops. Only athletic sport tank tops are to be worn. Females Clothing Modesty 1. Modest one-piece swimsuits are to be worn. No 2-piece swimsuits may be worn. No high cutlegs, no bikinis or tankinis, no low backs, and no cut-outs. Girls should not wear lycra swimsuits all day because of potential yeast infections. Swimsuit approval is subject to director discretion. 2. Girls must wear shorts and shirts over their swimsuits when not at a water activity. 3. No leggings may be worn without shorts and no short-shorts are to be worn. There is a minimum of a 3-inch inseam and shorts are evaluated according to the finger length rule (hemline is not shorter than your middle finger when your arms are by your sides.) 4. Bras must be worn all day and to any co-ed activity. No sports bras should be showing under the arms of a tank top. Bras should not be visible through any shirt. Coolmax/dri-fit type shirts are allowed with the exception of white ones. No A-shirts (boys ribbed tee-shirts) are allowed. 5. No spaghetti straps are to be worn and no midriffs showing even when the arms are raised. Tight shirts also are not allowed. 6. Ladies are to take care not to wear tops which draw attention to the breasts, including low cut or midriffs, and suggestive or inappropriate writing or designs across the chest area. 7. Short-shorts, tight shorts, tight jeans or pants are not allowed. Jeans or shorts with writing on the rear-end are not allowed. 8. No underwear of any type is permitted to show. 9. Ladies are allowed to wear stud earrings in their ears only (max. 2) and a purity ring. No other jewelry allowed except Kamp jewelry. Exception: Kaleos may wear Kamp appropriate jewelry such as: wedding rings, small stud earrings, choker type necklace, and a sports watch. 10. Ladies are allowed to wear make-up only at night.

In addition, Kaleos will no longer be given access to the internet through Kamp s broadband. We found that allowing this was counterproductive to the idea of connecting with Christ more fully during Kamp and we want to bring back the idea of unplugging from the world and connecting with Christ.
