PRIMACOMB Key elements for top yarn quality
PRIMACOMB for every eventuality
Original PRIMACOMB 90 and 111 PRIMACOMB 5014 With its optimum tooth geometry and tooth spacing, the standard circular comb for short and medium staple is suitable for raw materials with a high short fiber content and a high trash content. It can be used on all types ofcombers and produces faultless quality even at high nip rates. PRIMACOMB 7015 Developed specially for the E 62 / E 72 highperformance combers, the combing process optimized with C A P D (Computer Aided Process Development) produces the same or improved yarn results with higher combing performance. PRIMACOMB 7011 This circular comb is especially suitable for low noil extraction (<11%) and is thus ideal for upgrading (semi-worsted) in the 1 1 16 1 3 16 staple sector. This enables the spinning limit to be raised using the same raw material quality or alternatively the same yarn count can be spun from a lower-class raw material. Spheres of application: raw material upgrade classical ring spinning ComforSpin applications air-jet spinning rotor spinning 90 PRIMACOMB 5014; 7015; 7011 111 PRIMACOMB 5015 This circular comb developed specially for long staple is suitable for use with combers up to the E 60 / E 70 generation (featuring corresponding comb movements). Results in much more intensive noil extraction compared with the PRIMACOMB 5014. PRIMACOMB 5015
Spheres of application at a glance The key to success Using the correct circular comb is crucial for yarn quality. The table below helps you to identify the ideal circular comb for your quality requirements. To prevent any loss of yarn quality, we recommend replacing circular combs at intervals of no more than four years. Please address detailed inquiries or requests for quotations to our local representative or directly to our parts specialist in Winterthur. Fiber length Inches Noils % 1) 7015 specially developed for the E 62 / E 72 C A P D combers 2) 7015 for improved yarn quality 3) 5015 for conventional combers (E 7/4, E 7/5, E 7/5A, E 7/6, E 60H, E 61, E 70R) 4) 7011 for reduced noil extraction (semi-worsted) in the 1 1 16 1 3 16 staple range Criteria for choosing circular combs are noil extraction (%) and the yarn specifications (yarn count, yarn quality and sphere of application).
Circular combs The main tasks of circular combs Circular combs can rightly be described as the core element of any comber. While combing through the fibrous structure they remove short fibers, trash, neps and seed trash from the material. The fibers are parallelized at the same time. These factors have a decisive influence on yarn quality. Circular combs are also responsible for good raw material utilization: short fibers are reliably assigned to noils, long fibers to the combed sliver. The option of using different circular combs provides our customers with the following benefits: the right circular comb for every application (noil extraction), i.e. yarn quality, creating ideal preconditions for the subsequent stages of the spinning process effective trash removal with minimum loss of good fibers (optimum raw material utilization) use of the correct circular comb has a decisive influence on its service life Type of circular comb Angle Noil extraction Feed lap Staple length Used on Circular combs for normal and high noil extraction 5014 circular comb 90 11 22% up to 80 g/m ~26 30 mm E 7/4, E 7/5, E 7/5A, E 7/6, E 60, E 60H, E 70R, E 62 and E 72 7015 circular comb 90 14 22% up to 80 g/m ~27 38 mm E 62, E 72, (E 60H, E 7/5, E 7/5A, E 7/6, E 60 and E 70R) 5015 circular comb 111 14 20% up to 80 g/m ~27 38 mm E 7/4, E 7/5, E 7/5A, E 7/6, E 60, E 60H and E 70R Circular comb for upgrading (semi-worsted) 7011 circular comb 90 6 11% up to 80 g/m ~27 30 mm E 7/4, E 7/5, E 7/5A, E 7/6, E 60, E 60H, E 70R, E 62 and E 72
