TRANBY COLLEGE UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS ALL STUDENTS K 12 Hair Accessories: (available from the Uniform Shop)- Only the following permitted: Black zone rings; Black stretch headbands & Black ribbons; Black or brown clips No other hair accessories are permitted. Hair is to be a neat and acceptable hairstyle (for hair which is shoulder length or longer, it must be tied back) and in the student's natural hair colour. Jewellery: No jewellery is to be worn with the school uniform, except the following: Ear rings, students with pierced ears may wear one matching pair of small plain gold or silver studs (without a stone) or gold or silver sleepers (only one ear ring permitted in each ear lobe). KINDERGARTEN YEAR 2 Identical for Polo House Shirt Early Learning Polo shirt Tranby Backpacks are available in Junior and Small sizes Windcheater (Recommended) Sport Shorts or Black Nylon Track Pants Tranby Sport Socks Legionnaire Hat (recommended) or Slouch Hat Paint Smock Library Bag (available through the booklist or at the Uniform Shop) Black Sport Shoes (the type with Velcro tabs recommended) Homework Bag BATHERS Preprimary students participate in swimming lessons: Girls: Tranby bathers or plain black one-piece bathers to be worn. Boys: Tranby bathers or plain black speedo-type bathers, or Tranby microfibre sport shorts may be worn, (Not skins). No watches are to be worn in Kindy or Preprimary.
JUNIOR SCHOOL Years 3-6 Tranby Backpack Sports Bag (if required for co-curricular sports) Library Bag (available through the book list or from the Uniform Shop) Legionnaire, Slouch or Bucket style Tranby hat: to be worn for sports lessons and when involved in outdoor activities, including play. Tranby College raincoat (optional, no other raincoat is permitted). NB: Students are not permitted to have umbrellas due to safety and storage issues. SENIOR SCHOOL Years 7-12 The College has a conservative view on student appearance. With this in mind, all uniforms must be clean, ironed and in good condition. Hair is to be a neat and acceptable hairstyle (for hair which is shoulder length or longer, it must be tied back) and in the student's natural hair colour. The hairstyle must be conservative; fashionable trends and coloured hair are not permitted. Hair must be no shorter than a No. 2, hair must sit above the collar, and hair must not fall across the face. Hair Accessories: Only the following are permitted: black zone rings or elastics; black stretch headbands, black ribbons or scrunchies; black or brown clips. No other hair accessories are permitted. Jewellery: No jewellery is to be worn with the school uniform, except the following: o Ear rings; students with pierced ears may wear one matching pair of small plain gold or silver studs (without a stone); o or gold or silver sleepers (only one ear ring permitted in each ear lobe); o A plain wrist watch may be worn; o Visible body piercing or mouth jewellery is not allowed to be worn at school. Make up and nail polish are unacceptable. Students will be asked to remove both. Any student who persists in wearing make-up may be suspended from attending school until the situation is remedied. Tattoos must not be visible at any time. Cross-trainers or runners are the most versatile, but students can wear particular shoes to specific sports sessions. This excludes skate or any flat-soled shoes. Any discretionary situations will be handled by the Dean of Physical Education and Health. Students will wear the College Formal Uniform when on an excursion away from the College unless specific permission is given by the Dean of Year to wear Sport Uniform or casual clothes.
