Seek medical attention if irritation persists for more than 30 minutes. SKIN CONTACT: Wash skin with flowing water. Seek medical attention if irritation occurs. INHALATION: Though boric acid is not likely to be hazardous by inhalation, it has been shown to be poison experimentally. Remove to fresh air and monitor for systemic disturbances including wakefulness, nausea and vomiting. Seek medical attention if associated symptoms occur. Prolonged exposure to boric acid dusts should be monitored to assure concentrations are maintained below regulatory levels. INGESTION: Swallowing less than one teaspoon of boric acid has not shown harm to healthy adults. If amounts greater than this are ingested, victim should drink two full glasses of water and seek medical attention immediately. SECTION VI---HANDLING OF SPILLS OR LEAKS SPILL OR RELEASE HANDLING: In case of accidental spill or release, isolate contaminated area. Wear protective equipment including chemical resistant gloves and goggles. Contain spill and place residues in DOT approved container. Do not allow spill to run into drain sewers. Refer to section 10 if spilled in the state of California. WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD: Dispose of product in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
