8 8 2 4 : J e w e l l e r y R e p a i r ( 1 2 A ) 4 0 S / 4 0 E / 4 0 M Course Description This course is intended for students entering the transition phase of the jewellery and metalsmithing program. The curriculum content focuses on an extension of knowledge and skills learned in previous courses to repair jewellery, including ring sizing, chain soldering, clasp repair, retipping, and electroplating. Students use these materials and processes for live jewellery repairs. Goal 1: Describe and apply appropriate safety and health practices as they apply to the jewellery/metalsmithing trade. GLO 1.1: Create and maintain a safe workplace.
