OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS SETTING THE TIME 1. Pull the crown out to Position 2. 2. Turn the crown to set the hour, minute and seconds hands to the desired time. 3. Push the crown back in to Position 1. MOVEMENT AND PRECISION RAKANI uses Japanese quartz movements to ensure the most accurate time precision. Quartz movements are battery powered and do not require any additional winding. PRODUCT CARE PRECAUTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS Temperature: Chemical products: Cleaning: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (less than 0 C/32 F or greater than 60 C/140 F) or extreme temperature changes. Avoid any part of the watch or band being in direct contact with strong chemical products such as solvents, detergents, cleaning supplies, perfumes, cosmetics, etc. Clean your watch regularly to maintain the aesthetic appeal and good working condition. A soft cloth or brush can be used for cleaning. CHANGING THE BATTERY A worn out battery should be replaced immediately to reduce the risk of damaging other parts of the watch. RAKANI watches utilize a fit case back to provide the most protection against air and water. Due to the air tight pressure of fit case backs a watch press tool is needed to securely fit the case back after it has been removed. Therefore, RAKANI recommends having the battery replaced by a jeweler or professional that has a watch press. Instructions on manually changing the battery are below. - 1 -
Battery Type: SR626SW Tools Needed: Flathead Screwdriver and Watch Press Instructions: 1. Find the slightly raised opening between the case back and the case. 2. Insert the edge of the flathead screwdriver in this opening. 3. Slightly force the screwdriver into the opening and lift up until the case back pops off. 4. Remove any protective casings. 5. Remove and replace the existing battery. 6. Replace any removed protective casings. 7. Put the case back in place by matching the small notch in the case back with the crown of the watch. 8. Use the watch press to securely fit the case back on. Make sure to align the watch press tool with the outer watch case and NOT on the watch crystal. Continue pressing until the entire case back is securely fit in place. BANDS Leather Bands Product Care and Cleaning: Avoid contact with water or damp items. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.
