0th th September 0 VICENZAORO FALL IS OVER. SIGNS OF TRUST FROM THE GOLD & JEWELLERY INDUSTRY VICENZAORO Fall, Fiera di Vicenza s International jewellery show, which brought together 00 Italian and foreign brands from 0 countries, is over. Preceded by About J, an invitation-only event that welcomed 4 selected Italian and foreign jewellery designer brands to Venice, for a whole week VICENZAORO provided a complete shop window of new ideas in the world of jewellery and of the ranges of fashion jewellery that will be seen at the end-of-year festivities. VICENZAORO Fall strengthened the expectations that were aroused by the About J preview, where international buyers and top Italian retailers showed a solid business orientation. This attitude continued also during the exhibition held in the Vicenza fairgrounds that was visited by buyers from countries, with particular regard to the Euro Zone, Central and Eastern Europe, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Asia with particular reference to China and North America. Worth mentioning is the 'return' of some Italian retailers, an encouraging sign considering the muchdesired end of the most critical phase of the recession. The final data record the attendance of,60 visitors from abroad, while the Italian attendance data reached 0,89 visitors. The September edition of VICENZAORO confirms the signs of recovery in international demand, already remarked in the early months of 0. For the first time, after two years of negative signals, the second quarter of 0 showed a positive result for Italian exports of jewellery (ISTAT data) that have grown in terms of both value (+6%) and quantity (+.6%) over the same period of the previous year. Particularly significant is the growth in exports to the United States (+% in value) and to the United Arab Emirates (+% in value). We will see if this trend will continue also in the final months of the year. Among the industry players there is an atmosphere of moderate confidence. It is now taken for granted that the future of the Italian jewellery business and its areas will be played out on an international stage. During the September edition of VICENZAORO, Fiera di Vicenza has further strengthened its network of international partnerships by signing an important agreement with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in view of a strengthening of the Italian presence at the edition of March 04 of the Hong Kong international Jewellery Show, and by starting a new partnership with the Armenian Jewellery Association, which owns the leading international jewellery exhibition in the Eurasian country. Already included in the international calendar of VICENZAORO and T-GOLD International, is the appointment of next December at the Dubai International Jewellery Week, which is particularly important, given that the United Arab Emirates are the second largest export market of the Italian jewellery.
