Her father, Greg Hoff, helps with maintenance, sales, and merchandise modeling. Jody Hoff, Kensy s mother, manages bookkeeping, window dressing, and holiday gift wrapping. People often ask, Why men s clothing? Kensy s answer is simple and always the same: I am a salesperson. My favorite part of my job is being the salesperson. Retail is simple: sell what people need. A men s specialty clothing store was needed in Brookhaven three years ago, so I opened one. The Well-Dressed Man outfits men, young and old, looking for casual clothing or shopping for suits, sport coats, outerwear, luggage, and accessories. Those needing tuxedos or suits for special occasions can rent them individually or as a group at The Well-Dressed Man. Twice selected by the Brookhaven newspaper as The Daily Leader s Readers Choice for Best of the Best in Men s Clothing and runner up in Best Formalwear (2016 and 2017), The Well-Dressed Man earned Jim s Formal Wear s Elite Retailer of the Year in 2017 and 2018. 128 West Cherokee Street, Brookhaven, MS, 601-265-2415 Expectations / Expectations Too Owner/Manager Angie Warren opened Expectations in Brookhaven, Mississippi, in March 1996. Darby s currently occupies one of Main Street s classic, nineteenth-century buildings while four of them now house Darby s Furniture. The Shorts consider these businesses family owned since they have helped raise close to one hundred young sales associates, ages fifteen to twenty-four, through the years. Much of the success of Darby s and Darby s Furniture lies in Darby Short s background in fashion merchandizing from the University of Georgia. Also part of these two companies success is the diligent, hospitable staff working alongside Darby and Dennis. At Darby s these sales associates include Joey Gunning, Dwight Cameron, Emily Atkins, and Christi Wagoner. Assisting at Darby s Furniture are designers Vicki Creuise, Gina Greenleaf, and Susan Brian. These businesses customer demographics, beyond their popularity with Natchez and its neighboring towns, include shoppers from Jackson and McComb, Mississippi, down to Baton Rouge Louisiana, and through tourism and online sales, from as far away as Georgia and the West Coast. 410, 420, 421, 427 & 433 Main Street, Natchez, MS, 601-304-1010 Moreton s Flowerland Moreton s Flowerland has been a purveyor in the Floral Industry in Natchez, Mississippi, for more than seventy years and still enjoys the ever-changing opportunity to work with amazing flowers and botanicals in this wonderful community.
