Bio-Based Jars & Caps These in-mold frosted hybrid jars and caps are blended with 32% renewable plantbased resins and polypropylene to provide an affordable, eco-friendly packaging alternative. Made from inedible starches derived from corn, tapioca, wheat and potatoes without diverting resources from the food supply. Assorted sizes and styles are available. Biodegradable Jars & Caps Biodegradable and biobased PHA jars and caps made from Mirel bioplastics from Telles offer sustainable packaging that won t harm the environment. Mirel P1003 is a high-performance, semi-crystalline polyester derived from corn sugar engineered specifically for injection-molded components. Choose from a wide range of colors, shades and decorating options. Features & Benefits: Mirel P1003 material properties are similar to traditional polypropylene heat resistance, moisture resistance, and shelf stability Derived from corn sugar using a microbial fermentation process Mirel bioplastics are biodegradable in natural soil and water environments, home and industrial composting systems. Like most bioplastics and organics, Mirel is not designed to biodegrade in landfills. Rate and extent of biodegradability will depend on the size and shape of the packaging 22
