Ft. Shenandoah, the Association s home range, is located on several hundred acres of land in the rolling hills of the lower Shenandoah Valley just outside of Winchester, Va. The shooting competition in the N-SSA is done with live ammunition at both paper targets for individual score and at various breakable targets with 5 or 8 man team events. Matches are with musket, carbines, repeating rifles, revolvers, cannon and mortar. The N-SSA is comprised of regional divisions that host their own skirmishes.
