Thickening properties & compatible with a wide variety of cosmetic & active ingredients. Hypoallergenic. It provides creams with an excellent spreadability with no soapy effect. It s emulsification mechanism is based on liquid crystal formation and therefore the HLB value is not so critical for this self-emulsifier. Silky Touch, Moisturizing Property, Nice spredability. Sensorial Evalution Two different formulations, one with La OLIVE were evaluated. The various factors were studied Consistency: La OLIVE emulsion was more consistent & structured Spreadability: Improved remarkably Color: Improved whitening in the emulsion Shine: More shiny & smooth feeling Stability Test 1.The emulsions were tested at 0 days & 3 months by the standard centrifuging test. 2.They were also tested by the Freeze thaw tests at different temperatures The emulsions were stable & no variation in viscosity,separation etc was observed. SPF Booster The synergic activity in sun-care products of and Sorbitan Olivate & Cetearyl Olivate Sorbitan Olivate has been studied, in order to evaluate the SPF BOOSTING properties. SPF improvement test was carried on 3 formulation (P1,P2,P3) SPF P1 without La OLIVE I &La OLIVE II 17.5 P2 with La OLIVE I & La OLIVE II 26.2 P3 with increasing amount of La OLIVE I & La OLIVE II 33.8 35 33.8 30 25 26.6 Conclusion :- Thus increase in amount of La OLIVE I & La OLIVE II increases SPF considerably. SPF Value 20 15 10 5 17.3 P1 00 SPF reading Increase in SPF on addition of La OLIVE I & La OLIVE II P2 P3 This result is due to the presence of Sorbitan Olivate, an optimum powder dispersing and wetting agent.
