Fashion Revue Narrative Examples 1. Greta Green discovered one of the true costs of sewing is the pattern. So when Hancock Fabrics had patterns on sale for.99 cents, she knew it was time to find a pattern for fashion review. Greta found this great top pattern, which can look very dressy or casual depending on the look she wants. Greta also went for a little more grown-up look, as she will be entering 7th grade this year, which moves over to the high school. Today, Greta chose a dressy look matching the top with black gauchos and cool pink shoes. Greta chose a 100% rayon floral pink print for a fabric. Learning to sew on rayon was a little different but she loves the feel and flow of this fabric. In Greta s free time, she is busy working with her sheep for the county fair and numerous other 4-H projects. Greta favorite thing to do is read, but she also enjoys swimming, volleyball, and hanging out with friends. Greta is a member of the Grow Green 4-H Club and has been in clothing for 4 years. You look ready for 7 th Grade Greta! 2. Here comes Mary McLeod with her trendy outfit for summer and fall. She is wearing bright colors today. Her top is pink with a coordinating yellow tank top underneath. The tops go great with her stylish plaid Bermuda shorts. Her accessories include a long beaded necklace, earrings, and pink flipflops. Mary likes this outfit because it can be worn to many different events and can be mixed and matched with several other clothing items that she owns. When Mary isn t busy working on 4-H projects, she likes to play volleyball, basketball, and golf. She also enjoys listening to music and just hanging out with her friends. Mary has been in the clothing project for 5 years and is a member of the Go Getters 4-H Club. Very cool Mary! 3. Wilma White s sister is getting married, that means a new dress. Wilma needed a dress to wear to the wedding showers and found this great special occasion dress. The outfit is a halter style dress with brown, cream, and turquoise intertwined to form a floral pattern. The dress has a fun asymmetrical hem. Wilma is accessorizing this dress with a pendant necklace, drop earring, and dress sandals. Here comes the price guessing part the original price was $69 what do you think Wilma paid? A mere $23.99! When she found that bargain she knew it would be perfect for Fashion Review. When Wilma isn t all dressed up, she is active in sports mainly tennis, basketball, and track. She also takes piano lessons and is in band. This dress will also be great for the band concerts. Wilma is a member of the Willing Workers 4-H Club. Wilma you look pretty enough to be the bride! 4. Chris Clover was ready for an adventure! For years he was watched his sisters, Mom, and Grandma sew. It looked so easy why couldn t he do it too? So for Chris s first sewing project, he chose his favorite print of Sponge Bob Square Pants and a very practical pajama pant pattern. Look at the results Chris decided sewing is both easy and fun! Chris did a great job. Using a 100% cotton print, Chris s pants are comfy and cool and perfect for spring, summer, and fall sleeping. He has paired his pants with a sleeveless Sponge Bob shirt in his favorite colors of yellow and black and finished up the outfit with yellow flip flops. Chris s summer has also been busy with collecting bugs for another 4-H project. He also likes to play baseball, play the piano, and build with Legos. Chris is a member of the Crazy Clovers 4-H club and will be going into the 2 nd grade at Clover Elementary. Happy Sleeping Chris! 2018 Regents of the University of Minnesota. All rights reserved.
