We want any formal occasion at Capital High School to be an enjoyable experience for all students, parents/guardians, and our community in general. We thank you in advance for your cooperation! Capital High School Student Dress Code for Formal Occasions Why are we establishing a dress code for formal occasions? The Capital High School Administration wants all students to engage in responsible decision making at all times. Our intent is not to dictate style or limit your individual expression of taste in dress. However, we feel that it is incumbent upon us to establish guidelines for acceptable attire to be worn at formal occasions and activities at Capital High School. We do not feel it necessary to extend our authority to establish guidelines for dress at occasions and activities you may attend away from our school when you are not representing us in any capacity. Formal occasions at Capital High School should be enjoyable and memorable and we also want everyone to be comfortable, safe, and express themselves consistent with the expectations for behavior and conduct both inside and outside the classroom that we have established previously. With modesty and safety in mind, the following dress code guidelines are established beginning with the 2012 2013 school year and on into the future at Capital High School for formal occasions and activities. Failure to adhere to this established dress code will prevent your participation and attendance at any formal occasion or activity at Capital High School. Also, any admission fees paid will be forfeited
