History of Melaleuca Oil Indigenous Australians of the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales first used crushed tea tree leaves to create healing compresses for a variety of wounds and skin problems The commercial TTO industry was born after the antimicrobial properties of the oil were first reported by Penfold in the 1920s Production declined after World War II as demand for the oil fell, presumably due to the development of effective antibiotics Interest in the oil was rekindled in the 1970s as part of the general resurgence of interest in natural products 1970s and 80s - commercial plantations were established Researched conducted widely over last 20 years Page 3
mundicare Melaleuca Oil 100% pure - we do not use blended oil Sourced from a single origin plantation in Northern NSW utilising sustainable practices in production and processing One harvest annually Consistent climate conducive to high grade oil Australian Tea Tree Industry Association (ATTIA) members - ensure the strictest quality controls are followed that begins on the farm and continues throughout the processing and supply chain to the end user Page 4
mundicare Melaleuca Oil mundicare uses tighter specifications for the quantities of active components in Melaleuca Oil, compared to ISO and AU Standards The antimicrobial active in mundicare melaleuca oil, terpinene-4-ol, is at least 45% greater than that of ISO and AU standards 1-2 mundicare melaleuca oil contains a low para-cymene content - a potential irritating agent that can be found in essential oils, and also an indicator of poor quality oil 1-2 Page 5

mundicare WOUNDAID N dressing application guide Cleanse wound in accordance with local clinical protocols and let it dry completely Select an appropriate dressing size that will overlap the edges of the wound by 2-3cm The dressings can be cut if needed - use sharp, clean scissors to avoid contamination and prevent shredding of dressing edge. If necessary, use sterile scissors. Peel off the protective film and apply the dressing onto the wound site Press down softly and secure with non-woven fabric or bandage tape Page 17
mundicare WOUNDAID N dressing removal Dressing changes should be dependent upon clinical assessment and local wound protocols Inspect the dressing frequently and change mundicare Woundaid N once exudate is visible or approaches 1.5cm from the edge of the dressing mundicare Woundaid N should be changed at least every 5 days To remove, lift one corner and gently peel the dressing back on itself Page 18

mundicare WOUNDAID F dressing - removal Dressing changes should be dependent upon clinical assessment and local wound protocols Inspect the dressing frequently and change mundicare Woundaid F once exudate is visible or approaches 1.5cm from the edge of the foam part of the dressing mundicare Woundaid F should be changed at least every 5 days To remove, lift one corner of the adhesive film, and gently peel the dressing back on itself Page 34
mundicare WOUNDAID H dressings Creates the optimal moist wound healing environment, which promotes faster healing Optimal exudate absorption and retention capability for low exudating wounds Does not adhere to the wound site Thinnest hydrocolloid profile allows flexibility and conforms to the skin Page 35
mundicare WOUNDAID H dressing - properties 1. Protective layer Thin, semi-permeable film with optimal MVTR that protects the wound surface from external contamination Waterproof 2. Contact/absorptive layer Retains exudate to facilitate a sustained, moist wound environment Turns into a hydrogel on contact with exudate Page 36

mundicare WOUNDAID H dressing application guide Cleanse wound in accordance with local clinical protocols and let it dry completely Select an appropriate dressing size that will overlap the edges of the wound by 2-3cm The dressings can be cut if needed - use sharp, clean scissors to avoid contamination and prevent shredding of dressing edge. If necessary, use sterile scissors Apply the dressing to the wound site and press it down softly to secure it Once the dressing absorbs exudate, it turns white and swells upwards Page 38
mundicare WOUNDAID H dressing - removal Dressing changes should be dependent upon clinical assessment and local wound protocols Inspect the dressing frequently and change mundicare Woundaid H once the dressing does not swell anymore or if the exudate leaks mundicare Woundaid H should be changed at least every 2-3 days To remove, slowly peel one corner and gently peel the dressing back on itself Page 39
