The right chap and parts of the eyes show traces of red. Finely incised whiskers on both sides of the muzzle. Possibly inspired by Peritas, the historic mastiff of Alexander the Great. Sculpture 2006.1290 Gravestone Marble / hand-carved Afghanistan / 18th C. Rectangular white marble gravestone. The front has seven, the back six small rectangular panels with an Arabic text in Nastaliq script. Other plain surfaces are covered with lightly incised floral motifs.
