PROJECT DESCRIPTION is a spectacle of creation which simmers slowly, where the main protagonists are time, looks and visual poetry. It wants to make us reflex on our rhythm of life. How long has it been since you have stopped for a while, just being, without doing anything, yawing, staring, looking at people passing along, listening to the noises of the street? - Now I can t, I don t have time, Maybe when I retire. Is it really possible to waste time? And where does it go when we waste it? We live and educate our children fast. We want them to speak English, Russian, Chinese that they play football, theater, and they are good at everything We prepare them for the future, so they have a good job, a nice house, a good car But we don t educate them to play freely, to learn to relax, to stop at a friend, or just talk and listen to each other. With, from Michael Ende, we have found inspiration to give life to this idea. Who else could give a better meaning of the word listening? This has been a challenge for the whole team. We start with the setting of the stage, and from the space and the three characters we built the whole story. It s a performance with impressive ambitions, directed to a family audience, from 8 years onwards. The audience come into the stage where will fit 80 people approximately. Three very peculiar characters meet in an abandoned area. One, which communicates through live music, and the others play the story of the story. It s an indoors performance which could be represented in a multifunctional space, an abandoned hall of a Factory or in a space of 9 meters minium. Our intention is to build a completely autonomous stage, with the lights built in, only needing a few plugs from the theatre. 03:00 03:00

Anna Roca theatre Company Anna Roca Theatre Company has been working with different styles and registers for adult and children tales for 21 years. In those 21 years, I have created 7 theater tales performances. The following plays have gone around Europe- Contes al terrat, Can Pere petit, Quan jo era petita, Contencinc, Les Sabates noves de l Emperador, La Granja més petita del món. In 2010 I created Captius based on tales of Joan Barril, with the direction of Josep Maria Miró, a performance for adults and with a strong change in register. Now the company makes another big change, recovering an idea that had been kept in a draw for a long time. We have created a play that comes from the heart-. 07:00

PROJECT: THE AIM Theatre Pedagogue one of the main aims I put to myself with the students of the theater school is that they learn to listen to each other, to look at each other and be in silence. I was looking forward to take these aims to the stage and make them into a play for a teenager audience. I would like the audience to enjoy a play which actually has the purpose to make people think and reflex. Those aims are not easily and quickly achieved. I am not pretending to give answers but to create questions that make families, friends and people from our surrounding discuss. This performance wants to make us reflect on the rhythm of life we have and the rhythm of life we want our children to have. Maybe after this we have gained another person in the world who will know the importance of holding the time and listening to silence. 08:00

PROJECT: SPACE The backstage tries to emphasize the idea of holding the time. With the creation of a tidied space but in decay. We show the slow progress of the passing of time against the speed with which we live our everyday life. In this space we want to be in a very specific moment of time- between the past and the future. And this is portrayed in the botanical garden, where vegetation has started to sprout and take roots. 09:00

THE AUTHOR AND THE NOVEL Michael Ende (Germany, 1929-1995) Writer of children s literature and fantasy. His books have been translated to more than 40 languages and his most famous books are and The Never Ending Story. He was son of the Surrealist painter Edgar Ende which makes it easy for him to get introduced in the artistic and humanistic world. He starts to write stories in the 50s and becomes very popular with Jim Boto I En Lluc el maquinista (1962). Later he publishes (1973) and The Never Ending Story (1979), with which he receives the so deserved recognition. It is a novel of social criticism of society told like a fairy tale. It stresses the value of social relations. It is against the maximum use of time, by people of our society, which only look for insaciable consumption of the products we manufacture, which finally will end up destroying them. 10:00

PROJECT: THE MUSIC Marta Rius, the musician and plays can t be conventional. Based on the sound of the passing of time. It will take us to different sensations, which gives support to our story. A bird, the sound of leaves moving in the wind, the rain, the ticking of the clock, are sounds that inspire us for the melodies of the play. And how will she do it? With her voice, the accordion, a music box and with the sound of water in a bottle converted into music, a zip, a plastic bag, and all kind of stuff. With these ingredients she will create the sound of Beppo and his message. 11:00
