We had the pleasure of working alongside Glenn, Sherri and the boys for their annual bull sale this past spring and now in selling this fantastic set of females in their Mature Cowherd Dispersion. This is a tremendous opportunity for you to add females from the Chestnut herd to your breeding program. These open heifers, bred heifers and cows from the heart of this herd and made to work. The Johnson family relies on these cows to make their living and they breed these females to be productive, fertile, structurally sound and easy to keep. There is also no doubt that the Johnson family has a keen eye for good looking cattle that have the eye appeal you like to see in the pasture and in the show ring too. Not only are the females in this sale great to look at and admire for their physical quality, but they have the genetics and cow families to back them up. It is with mixed emotions that we offer this set of females up for sale. They have been very good to us. These cattle have done everything we have asked of them and we are confident they will do the same for you. This is a great opportunity to buy right out of the heart of the program. Along with the mature cows, we are offering a really fancy bred heifer and the pick of our top show heifer. They make me very excited for whoever buys them. They are very special. We picked out 11 fancy show heifers that will compete at high levels. These heifers come right off the top. These heifers give you a chance to own a set of Up Start heifers that will show and produce some great offspring. There is a nice variety of different ages for everyone. We have a super set of SimAngus cross heifers that are bred to one of my favorite Red Angus bulls in the breed. These calves out of him will be awesome. The services of our new herd sires VA First Round, WK Hammer 1011, and BA Pay Day 2610 have me excited for calving. These three bulls will carry a lot of weight in our program.
