Invitation to participation in Arctic Skills for hairdresser studies, May 12-13 2016 Participants: Second-year upper secondary school hairdresser students Information: Each country contributes with one candidate and one professional. This means one from Russia, one from Finland and one from Norway. The candidate must be registered as second-year student of hairdressing. The upper age limit is twenty-two years. Equipment: The candidate will be given the doll heads Sophia, Tony and Ingrid from Pivot Point on May 11, 2016. The candidate must bring his or her own personal equipment, such as scissors, combs, brushes and electric hair tongs. Hair dryer, hair cutting machines and hair curlers can be borrowed from from Kirkenes VGS. The candidate will use Igora Color Wox for colouring Sophia. This will be provided on May 11, 2016. The candidate will use Igora Vibrance for colouring Tony. Kirkenes VGS provides the hair products that the candidates will use during the competition. Ref. the attached product list. The candidate will be given t-shirts and an apron. The candidate will be using HSE-equipment provided by Kirkenes VGS.

You will also be given the opportunity to get to know the hair colour products and other products that you will use in the competition. 15.30-19.00 Colouring of Sophia and Tony, and preparation of Ingrid. Extreme make-up is not allowed. Hair extensions and other accessories are not allowed. The clothes have to match the hairdo.

Task 1: LADIES LONG HAIR Using the Ingrid doll head, make a design for long hair. The end result should harmonize with the clothes. The theme of the long hair competition is young gala. The style should not be an updo.. FINISHED RESULT Free choice of combs and brushes. All finishing products are allowed in accordance with the attached product list (except coloured sprays, glitter, coloured mousse, coloured markers, crayons etc. cannot be used). No external fillers of any materials allowed. No bobby pins, hairpins, clips or rubber bands of any kind, on finished design. Earing may be put on prior the judging. Finishing products may be used but must not cover more than 1/6ths of the design The finishing products must harmonize with the overall style Braids and weaves are not allowed

Task 2 Gentlemen a modern, trendy design: Using the Tony doll head, make a modern, trendy design. The finished product, including the hairdo and clothing, should show a customer-adapted current fashion style. The hair should be cut short, but the choice of hairstyle and colouring is yours. The colouring will be performed on Wednesday May 11, 2016. Hair cut: The hairdo should be a modern, high-graded style All kinds of hair cutting equipment is allowed, except a haircutter machine It is allowed to use a mini-cutter around the edges COLOUR Only Igor Vibrance are allowed to be used in this module. Competitors cannot use coloured sprays, glitter, coloured gels, coloured mousses, bleaches and oxidizing colours. Colour cover has to be complete All colour cover techniques are allowed. It is up to you how many colours you want to use Hairstyle shaping: Only hair dryer and brushes are allowed in this module Other heating tools are not allowed All styling products found on the product list are allowed The finished product cannot cover the face The finished product must have a masculine characteristic

Task 3 Ladies a modern, everyday hairdo with colouring and shaping: Using the doll head Sophia, make an everyday hairdo. Do not make an updo. The finished product, with clothing and hairstyle, should display a customer-adapted current fashion style. The hair should be cut short, but the choice of hairstyle and colouring is yours. The colouring will be performed on Wednesday May 11, 2016. Hårklipp: The hairdo should be a modern style The hairdo should follow international trends The hairdo should be shoulder-length or shorter You will have to use at least two cutting techniques All kinds of cutting equipment are allowed COLOUR Only non-oxidising colour Igora colorwox. products are allowed to be used in this module. Competitors cannot use coloured sprays, glitter, coloured gels, coloured mousses, bleaches and oxidizing colours. Colour cover has to be complete All colour cover techniques are allowed. It is up to you how many colours you want to use Frisyreforming: Competitors perform a blow dry on wet hair. The hairdo should follow international trends of everyday hairstyling All styling products found on the product list are allowed The contestants must use at least two different techniques The contestants must use at least two different tools No bobby pins, hairpins, clips, rubber bands or ornamentation of any kind, on finish design.
