This disc utilizes the piezoelectric effect to convert electrical input to vibrations at an ultrasound frequency. What does khz or MHz stand for? The Genius Ultra produces approximately 300,000 waves per second. This is the same as 300 kilohertz, abbreviated as 300 khz. Kilo is 1,000; and Hertz (abbreviated Hz) means cycles per second or waves per second. Why does the Genius Ultra have a warming tip? The warming tip has been designed for personalization of your Arbonne skincare regimen along with soothing comfort. You should select the temperature setting that feels the most comfortable for the area or section of the face that you are working on. Since the warming tip helps in product application, a good general rule is to use the highest level that feels good on your skin. Should the Genius Ultra be turned on to warm-up before use? Using a circular motion, slowly and gently move the Genius Ultra around in overlapping circles to apply your Arbonne skincare product. Pressure is not recommended; it does not increase results and could potentially tug or pull at delicate skin. Keep the tip flush and in contact with the surface of the skin for optimum benefit, but let the ultrasound and warmth do the work. Can the Genius Ultra be used on the body? Yes, the Genius Ultra can be used on the body where you would typically apply an Arbonne product according to directions for use. Should I apply the topical skincare product directly to my skin, or should I put the product on to the metal tip of the Genius Ultra? Arbonne topical skincare products should be applied to your face, neck, eye area or lips as you normally would, with your fingertips. The Genius Ultra should be used in the area of the face immediately after product was applied. After I ve applied the topical product, how quickly do I have to use the Genius Ultra? Does the product still need to be wet on the surface of the skin to use the Genius Ultra? If your Arbonne skincare product has already begun to feel dry on the surface of your skin, don t worry. Just use your Genius Ultra to gently glide over the area where you ve applied your product. Even if the product no longer feels wet on the skin s surface, the Ultra is still working to help ensure that your product is even applied to the skin surface, including into all the little ridges on the skin s surface that you can t see. Remember, it is not necessary to apply pressure; just glide the chrome face over your skin while maintaining full contact. For best results, we recommend 1 minute around the eye area and 1 minute for the rest of the face. What is the brief pause in the vibration I feel in the middle of using the Genius Ultra? The Genius Ultra will run for 1 minute before the timer automatically shuts the Genius Ultra off. The pause in vibration in the middle is a signal the Genius Ultra has run for 30 seconds, in case you desire to switch application areas, or just to signal that you are halfway finished with the application.
