Project code: 03SC01WJ Banded applications (36" band) were applied at 5.0 mph and 33 psi where as broadcast applications were madeat 3.75 mph and 35 psi. Banded herbicide treatments were applied using 3 8002VS nozzles per band and broadcast treatments were applied using flat fan 11002VS nozzles spaced 20 apart. All applications were made at 15 GPA. Early season shoot emergence, growth throughout the season and yield was not affected by tillage. Weed control was not affected by tillage and there were no differences in weed control where spring herbicides were banded instead of broadcast. Temperature probes were also placed in the center of the row to evaluate the effect tillage on soil temperature. There were no differences between the off-bar and no off-bar treatments. 2
