Our Leader s Message After 10 years of chemical engineering experience and an MBA, and a strong feeling that I could manufacture useful goods at affordable prices, I left my job at one of the largest refineries and joined my father s business. I manufacture useful products which are always of good quality and affordable. Everything I make I use myself and make available to the public. I am a believer in using natural products rather than synthetic. Hence the reason our mission, quality products at affordable prices. How do I decide to manufacture a product? If what s available is not satisfactory, I make a better product and also if a product is needed but not available locally. C.L. Blanchfield is committed to quality and prides itself in maintaining a standard at all time in all our products.

Company s History C.L. BLANCHFIELD & CO. LTD was founded by the late Cyril Lloyd Blanchfield (Snr.), a pharmacist and a founding member of the TTMA in the 1960 s, but was registered on the 30th June 1972. The company began its existence by packaging simple pharmaceutical products such as Boric Powder, chemical sedlitz powders and Epsom salts. The manufacture of liniments was subsequently added to this. The company was located in the early 1970's near the industrial area at Pt. Lisas. Due to the proximity of the raw material ammonia gas, the company began to manufacture ammonia hydroxide. This lead to the production of Household Ammonia, a household cleaner, Ammonia Liniment, a liquid ointment, and Ammonia Bicarbonate. Other products manufactured were, Pearls Baby Cough Syrup, Easton Syrup, Calamine Lotion, Benedict's Solution and a Toilet Bowl Cleaner.

Food Products Our essences are concentrated and contains natural flavours. This makes our quality high. The great taste enhances your cakes, pastries and punches. Our syrups contains artificial flavours with natural taste. It is great for pancakes and toast. Blanches herb vinegar is made by soaking a special blend of evergreen local herbs and spices in a vinegar solution. The flavour of the vinegar enhances the flavour of meat, fish and sauces. It makes great pepper sauce. Our liquid glucose is a sweetener with fructose which is used as a substitute for sugar in drinks which gives added energy.

Pharmaceutical Products Our company has two cough syrups for infants and adults. They provide restful sleep. Our Ammonia Liniment is a muscle rub which contains ammonia which repels insects. Easton Syrup helps the immune system and surgery recovery process. Bedsore Ointment is used for the treatment of bedsores and live sores. It has been tested and works great.

Household Cleaners Our Household Ammonia is considered to be a niche product due to it multipurpose function. It is used in laundering, mopping, as a fertilizer, furniture polish and other uses. Our Moss Remover uses a basic ph to kill and lift moss away from concrete surfaces. It is alkaline in nature so that it is friendly with concrete/cement. Our Toilet bowl cleaner kills germs and removes stains while giving off a fresh pine scent. It has been specifically formulated for septic tanks. The alkaline ph provides an environment in which the microorganisms which digest solids flourish. This oven cleaner is also a degreaser, it is crystal in nature. It lifts away grease easily and cleans ovens, pots and pans. It works well on pots that has burnt food stains.

Aromatherapy Products Evening Primrose Oil used for the treatment of hot flashes for menopausal syndromes. Lavender Oil this is the most versatile of all essential oils. Most commonly know for its relaxing effects on the body. It is used in therapeutic treatment. It may be used to cleanse cuts, bruises and skin irritations. Also used as a sleep aid, for minor cuts, burns, insect bites, motion sickness, dandruff and cold sores. Tea Tree Oil is known for its topical antiseptic and anti-fungal treatment or infection-reducing benefits. Helps heal and soothe sunburns and heal skin infections. It works as an antiseptic on small cuts. Relieves itchiness from rashes as well as helps reduce rashes and to treat acne. Helps to prevent lice naturally; just add a few drops to your shampoo. Also a few drops in your pets crates or beds keep the fleas away.removes ticks; just add to skin, and the tick will usually unlatch. It also cures toe nail fungus and Athlete s foot. Helps remove skin tags and soothes insect bites and treats

Personal Care Products Flawless After Shave Lotion -is best suited for the African male or persons whose hair curl into the skin causing razor bumps. This after shave lotion prevents the hair from curling into the skin, thereby reducing the chances of getting razor bumps. It can be used by both male and female. It is useful after shaving on face, arms and legs. Blanches Hand Sanitizer with Aloe Vera - contains Aloe Vera which moisturizes the hands after sanitizing. Most hand sanitizers dries out the hand after use. In such cases a moisturizer is then needed to moisturize the hands. Blanches hand sanitizer, first sanitizes the hands, continue to rub hands and then it moisturizes the hands leaving your hands fragrantly cleaned and moistened. It cleans, It moisturizes, It perfumes Blanches Mouthwash -is made up of natural ingredients, essential oils and tinctures dispersed in a dilute alcohol solution. It is sold concentrated and must be diluted before use. It is astringent, antiseptic and deodorizing; killing germs causing bad breath especially where teeth are carious. It is also used as an adjunct in the treatment of gum diseases (e.g. pyorrhoea). For persons suffering with receding gums, this product has helped to pull the gums back onto the teeth.

Personal Care Products Glycerine & Rose Water Suited for the environment where over - exposure to the sun is common. The standard lotions used often contain oils that can contribute to burning of the skin. Conversely, this product contains no such oils. It gently soothes over-exposed skin and can be used as a moisturizing lotion for sun-exposed skin. The glycerine present works by drawing moisture to the skin, while the rose water soothes and gives a pleasant scent. This is accomplished without the greasy feel and appearance that most lotions are known for. It is great for people with sensitive skin. Rose water is one of the oldest perfume formulas, it has a pleasant scent and can be used as a refreshing splash. It is also edible and is used in cake icing. Blanches Insect Repellent is great for sensitive skin as it contains no pesticide. Using the age old principles of aromatherapy, we have been able to develop an insecticide free, perfume based insect repellent formula. Using all natural essential oils, this product masks the body odours that attract insects while leaving a pleasant scent. It comes in a mist sprayer bottle so that it can easily be sprayed on instead of rubbing with palms.

Blanches Flea Shampoo This kills fleas using both synthetic and natural oils to accomplish this aim. The registered active ingredient is cypermethrin 150ppm. This is a pesticide that is widely known in the agricultural field for treating cattle from tick infestation. This ingredient works along with natural oils to kill and discourage the return of fleas. Our pet shampoo works well to keep away and to treat dogs with fleas. It comes in two sizes - 250 ml and 500 ml. The dog depicted is a living testament of being flea free using only 'Blanches' Flea Shampoo

Leather Restorer Leather Restorer The Blanches Leather restorer is recommended for the maintenance of genuine leather of any colour. With the passage of time, genuine leather can crack as it loses its pliability. The loss of pliability is due to the loss of the natural oils in the leather. To maintain leather, these oils need to be replaced with similar, nonsynthetic oils. Blanches Leather restorer contains such oils along with other essential oils that give an improved scent. By preventing cracking, this product lengthens the life of all genuine leather articles. Warning: Do not used on non-genuine leather products as it would peel away fabric. This item contains pig fat.

Customer Review of Product Leather Restorer That thing is super good. I'm over the moon about how beautiful this chair looks now. There were fine paint splatters all over it and it was sadly in need of attention. I applied a generous amount of the Blanches leather restorer, which smells so good anyway, and the chair has taken on a new look. Love it. the splatters are mostly out. When this one is done I have to put it upstairs somewhere then bring out the other one to start restoring it. When it is good and dry I will put a polish. I just called Sophie the daughter of the woman i bought it from, to come and see the chair now. Lan
