How the Skin Ages On the skin's outermost layer - the paper-thin epidermis - old cells continually die, flake away, and are replaced by younger cells that rise up from the lower epidermis. This process renews the skin about once a month. Beneath the epidermis is a thicker layer called the dermis, which contains substances such as collagen and elastin. Collagen, a structural protein, is arranged in layers of fiber called fibrils, forming a matrix that holds the skin together. Elastin, a protein similar to collagen, gives skin its elasticity. Indications for Use Ravishing by Evis Red Light Therapy is an Over-The-Counter handheld device intended for the use in the treatment of Full-Face wrinkles. Treatment Protocol We recommend 3 minutes per treatment area 2 times a week, for the first 4-8 weeks. It is recommended to exfoliate your skin a minimum of twice a week during the course of the treatment. After the initial 4-8 weeks of treatments, maintain results with 1-2 treatments a month as needed. Step by Step Directions for Use Before Treatment Cleanse the skin to remove make up and dirt. Pat the skin dry. Treatment Connect the power cord to the bottom of the device and plug the power adapter into the wall socket. Press the power button once, you will hear a beep. The device is now ready for treatment. Cover the eyes with goggles or moistened eye pads if sensitive to light. (Optional.) Gently place the light directly in contact with the skin over the area to be treated. Hold in place for 3 minutes. An audible beep will sound every 3 minutes to help time the treatment. After every 3 minute beep, move the device to the next target area. After 18 minutes (for a total of 6, 3 minute cycles), the device will automatically shut off. However, it may be immediately switched on for additional treatments. Continue this process until you have treated all target areas. When all areas have been treated, if the light is still on press the power button once to shut off the device. After Treatment You may apply a hydrating cream, followed by sunscreen as needed. Wipe the light panel with an alcohol wipe after each treatment. Do not run the device under water. 8
