1 Begin by sectioning the front area from the back at the ear and clipping the front out of the way. 2 Now take a section from temple to temple directly back and then angle down towards the occipital bone meeting in the center. 3 Firmly place elastics in the back and then move to the front sections and place. 4 Using Thermal Design spray, begin on the underneath layers by the ear and lightly spray the length of the hair shaft. 5 Begin to spiral wind fine sections, winding on the inside of the barrel, facing the wind upwards to create ringlets. 6 Continue to work in sections up the front section until you come to the center parting. When the first side is complete, repeat on the opposite side. BEFORE 7 Moving back to the pony tail at the occipital, divide it down the middle and clip one half to the side as shown in the picture. 8 At the front of this section by the ear, begin to braid the hair close to the scalp. 9 As you work down this first side, loosen your underneath strand of the braid and draw your top sections to this point to create a loose traveling braid line. 10 Continue working in this manner towards the center of the back. 11 As you work towards the center back area, now begin to incorporate the half of the elasticated pony tail you left out. 12 Once you have completed the braid on one side, clip out of the way and repeat on the opposite side. 13 Once both sides are complete, bring together through the center area and join the braids together to create one large braid running down the hair. 14 Now secure the braid with an elastic ready for placement. 15 Moving back to the spiral wound areas at the front of the hair, rake through them with your fingers to create loose soft curls. 16 Take an area of the hair from the front and loosely hold in one hand, then take the next section and do the same with the opposite hand. 17 Begin to twist the hair sections over each other, each time gathering another section from underneath to create a rope twisted effect to the curls. 18 Once you have completed the twist, shake the shape to loosen and allow areas to fall for softness. 19 Bring the end of your twist to the elasticated area in the center of the back and pin the hair, allowing the softness to flow at the sides while securing the hair in place. Repeat on the opposite side. 20 View from the back with both sides pinned in place and the double braid waiting to be put in place. 21 Now roll the braided area over itself and bring it up to the elastic area. Using large pins for security, pin the hair through the middle. 22 Complete your look by fanning out the braided hair from the center back and pin to the close braided areas at the sides of the ears. 23 You may dress the back with decorative pins or flowers according to the occasion. Spray the hair with Silk Finish and a light dusting of Brilliant Defense. 10 11

BEFORE 1 Begin this look by sectioning an area out from temple to temple and back to the crown area. Once this is secure you will move into the back area. 2 Now continuing the top section for a couple more inches, split the section in two and clip one half out of the way as shown. Then with the first half begin to French braid the hair close to the scalp. 3 As you begin to work out of the scalp area into a regular braid/plait, start to take small areas of hair from the very front of the hair line starting close to the area you sectioned out from the top. 4 Continue to work these sections into the regular braid as you work down the first half of the head. Remember you are brining the front sections to meet your back braid. DO NOT over direct forward or your braid will not meet in the center! Once your first braid/plait is complete, repeat on the opposite side. 5 Moving to the top section, take a section and lightly spray the hair shaft with Thermal Design. 6 Using your tool of choice (curling iron or hot rollers), begin to roll the hair to create body. Once the top is complete, allow to cool as you move back to complete the braided area. 7 Working with an assistant (and/or some large dressmaking pins), hold your zip down the length of the first side of the braided hair. 8 With a fine thread, begin to stitch the zip into the braid to secure it into place. 9 Once the first side is sewn in, move to the second side and sew into place. 10 Moving back into the top area, begin to brush the hair through to loosen the curl and then back comb at the roots for lift and volume. Work with Designer shaping spray for easy manipulation. 11 Draw the hair back towards the braided area, allowing your lift shape to remain on top. Now twisting the hair over your figure, loop the hair over and pin into place, allowing the remaining curls to cascade to one side of the zip. Complete your look with Silk Finish and a light dusting of Brilliant Defense. 16 17

BEFORE 1 Begin this style through the front section of the hair. Take a section in a triangle from temple to temple and back to the crown. 2 Draw the section forward and clip out of the way. 3 Take your next section behind the ear and back into the nape. Section out of the way. Now take the next section from the crown and draw the hair down to the nape in a close ponytail and elasticate by the first section. 4 Now from the opposite side draw all the hair over and across the elasticated area. 5 Once the hair is in place draw the hair from this side to join the hair you have combed over and closely elasticate the hair at the nape next to the original pony tail. Use Design Spray as you work each section to keep it nice and smooth. 6 Moving back to the front draw the hair down and smooth towards the front. The tail comb indicates the amount of drag you will want on this section, as you do not want lift to the top of this shape. 7 Spray Thermal Design spray on each section. 8 Roll the dragged sections, allowing to dry or cool down while you move back to the back section. 9 Take the first section from the top of the first ponytail and clip out of the way. With a fine crimper, use Thermal Design spray on the hair and then gradually crimp the full length of the hair shaft. When your first section is done, continue through the rest of the ponytail. 10 When all the sections are crimped, place a roller in the smooth section you left at the top. 11 Now repeat the section on the second ponytail. 12 In the front area, back comb on the underneath of the section to create body but no lift. 13 Use Designer shaping spray for control as you begin to place the false fringe area. 14 Using your bristle brush, smooth the top hair over to create a nice shiny surface for you to false fringe. 15 With your figures, begin to form the roll for the fringe, keeping it wide and loose enough to manipulate once it is pinned in place. Bring it close to the hair line so you know you are pinning to a secure area. 16 With a fine hair net you will now cup the front of the fringe area and draw the net back towards the crown. 17 When the net is neatly in place, secure with a fine pin. You will now move into the back area. 18 Start to back comb all of your braided section top create a voluminous shape, using Designer Spray as you work through. 22 19 Once all sections are back combed, bring your smooth section over the top of the completed section and with your bristle brush smooth out over the whole surface. 20 Taking another net, pin into the elastic and now draw the net down to envelope the completed section. 21 You can now begin to manipulate your netted shape and bring into position at the side of the ear. 22 Once in place, pin into the interior of the shape to secure to the base shape and hide your pins. Repeat on the second ponytail area. 23 Once all hair is in place, finish your look with Silk Finish and a light dusting of Brilliant Defense shine spray. 23
