CUT 1 Using the parietal ridge as your guide, make a horseshoe section that follows the parietal ridge around the head. This is Section 1. Take vertical partings directly behind each ear that extend from the parietal ridge to the hairline to create Section 2 and 3. Divide the hair directly above the occipital bone into two, and create Sections 4 and 5. 2 Beginning at the nape, take a vertical section and hold at a 45º angle. Cut hair with a razor, leaving the hair approximately 2 in length at the occipital. Using a traveling guide, continue through nape. When approaching the outer perimeter, start to over-direct backward to maintain length. 4 Release Section 2 and mist with Healing ColorCare Magic Bullet. Take first parting behind the ear, and over-direct back to previous cut section. Razor cut at a 90º angle, using Section 4 length as your guide. Work all the way through Section 2, using a stationary guideline. Repeat on other side of the head in Section 3. 5 Release Section 1 and comb forward. Take a center vertical parting, beginning in the back of the section. Using Section 4 and 5 length as your guide, cut the hair on an angle and a stationary guide, maintaining front length. Continue taking vertical sections through the entire top and cut using a stationary guide. After finished style, go back in and personalize with texturizing shears. 3 Release Section 4 and 5. Comb straight down and mist with Healing ColorCare Magic Bullet. Using the occipital length as your guide, continue t o c u t h a i r throughout Sections 4 and 5, maintaining a 45º angle. Be sure to over-direct the last t w o partings back.

CUT 1 3 Create W-shaped section on top of head with back points reaching occipital bone and two side points above the ear, meeting in front 2 back from hairline. Secure all hair underneath in a braid. Release top of remaining W. Mist hair with Healing ColorCare Magic Bullet. Take a center vertical parting and using previous section as your guide, elevate hair up and point-cut following a 90º angle. Continue throughout remainder of top section, being sure to work in clean sections. 2 Release W and horizontally divide front top crown out of the way, and secure with a clip. Take a vertical section in back, elevate up to a 90º angle, and point-cut at 8 in length. 4 Release braid, and cut perimeter in the back, using a freehand technique to desired length. Take a center parting from center front to center back of the nape. Direct left side in front of shoulder, and cut perimeter line to desired length. Continue cutting perimeter in the back, using a freehand technique following guide length. Continue cutting on perimeter length, on the opposite side. Finish by creating a soft angle in front that extends below chin to perimeter line.

CUT 1 SECTIONING 4 BACK SECTIONS Divide hair into 7 Sections. Section 1: Triangle section at front hairline, with the point 2 back from front hairline, and extending to hair recession on each side. Section 2: Horseshoe-shaped section that begins at hair recession, and follows the parietal ridge around head to other hair recession. Sections 3 and 4: Vertical parting at the back of each ear. Sections 5 and 6: Back sections from above occipital, split in two. Section 7: All hair below occipital. Release Sections 5 and 6. Mist hair with Healing Color Care Magic Bullet. Beginning in the center, take 1 vertical subsection and pulling angle parallel to the floor, razor cut. Use Section 2 length as your guide. Use a traveling guideline until you reach last two sections behind the ear. Last two sections will over-direct back to maintain length. 5 STRONG PERIMETER Release Sections 3 and 4, and comb into natural fall. Mist with Healing ColorCare Magic Bullet. With no tension and at zero elevation, point-cut length to shoulders working through to front. 2 FRINGE Release Section 1, and comb into natural fall. Begin point-cutting without tension to bridge of nose, leaving sides of fringe slightly longer. 3 HORSESHOE Release Section 2. Working at top peak of triangle in Zone 1, take 1 wide vertical subsection as your guide, using hair from Zone 2. Elevate hair at 90º, and place razor above fingers. As you apply color onto your board, swipe the formula onto the board and adhere a small subsection to it, and then continue to saturate from top to bottom. 1 SECTIONING Separate nape area in half, placing hair in ponytails with small elastics and over-directing the base of ponytails toward back hairline. Continue into Zone 2, placing ½ ponytails throughout the back of head, in wide horizontal sections. As you move closer to the side, begin to over-direct base of ponytails closer to face. Working in Zone 3 at front hairline, take pie-shaped sections, working off natural part, and over-direct each ponytail towards the face and part line. 2 DECOLORIZE Beginning at nape, using foil and balayage board, take fine horizontal sections within each ponytail, and apply Decolorizer Formula to each subsection throughout. Once each section is complete, tear a piece of 6 balayage film and wrap ponytail. Repeat on all ponytails. Once hair has achieved desired lift, cut elastic bands. Rinse and perform a L ANZA Ultimate Treatment, using appropriate booster for hair type and condition. 3 GLAZE Start in nape area. Using foil and balayage board, take fine diagonal sections, painting Formula 1 directly to new growth area, to the first 1 to 1 ½ of section. Continue to paint Formula 1 down right side of section through ends. Now take Formula 2 and paint remaining hair on left side. Feather two sides together with a clean brush. formula 2 formula 1 Take another fine diagonal section, this time again applying Formula 1 to new growth area, but applying to left side through ends. formula 1 formula 2

CUT 1 4 Part hair into 6 Sections. Working off a center part, begin Section 1 starting 2 back from front hairline, and create diamond shape that rests over top of crown. The side points of diamond sit on parietal ridge, centered over the ear on each side, and connecting just below parietal ridge in center back. Working in Section 1, take the center of the diamond, hold hair out at 90º angle. Point-cut length off, using a stationary guide. Continue with each side of the diamond. Using front point of Section 1, create a parting that extends to top of the ear on each side. Then, pivoting from top of the ear take another diagonal parting that intersects with back point of Section 1 at back of the head. 2 Comb hair straight down. Holding comb parallel to the floor, cut length. 5 Working in the side sections, take vertical pie-shaped partings and cut at a 45º angle, using the guide length from the top. Repeat on both sides. 3 Take a triangular section from fringe and cut length to chin, using light tension. Using side of fringe as your guide, open and close scissors slightly to remove length alongside sections, being sure to over-direct toward the center of the face.

CUT 1 3 On dry hair, make a center part line. Starting 2 back from front hairline, create a diagonal parting that extends to the back of each ear. Clip hair behind each section, out of the way. Take triangle sections throughout crown and repeat chipping technique within each section, while continuing to hold hair straight up. Section hair from top of ear across the occipital bone to the other side. Working above the occipital bone, take 1 vertical subsections and elevate hair parallel to the floor. Back cut throughout section, by slightly opening and closing scissors while sliding back and forth, creating graduated texture. 2 Working off a center part, comb hair directing forward to center of face, and point-cut into ends. Remove length and weight, so shortest layer falls below chin. Repeat on opposite side. Take a triangular section at top center of the crown, with point facing back of the head.
