Deborah Murdoch: Owner and Executive Creative Director, House of DeMu As Stella McCartney s former in-house fashion model, as well as editorial and campaign model for a long list of industry luminaries - including Burberry, Zara, Elle and Marie Claire Deborah has worked and lived all over the world, and she has absorbed a wealth of cultural inspiration that reveals itself in each of her unique pieces. Her heart belongs firmly to her native land of Scotland however, and her designs always reflect back to tell a unique story of home. From the towering shipyards with their industrial geometry just at the edge of the River Clyde to the ornate heritage of Scotland s churches and storied streets, the heart and beauty of Scotland is found within every piece she creates. Deborah strives to make beautiful timeless pieces of Jewellery that eventually become family heirlooms. Each piece is carefully handcrafted and has a unique story to tell. Sustainable and ethical practices are a core value of the brand and all Jewellery is made from non-conflict stones and recycled precious metals. The creation of the pieces are done in Scotland wherever possible. Scotland is the embodiment of timeless beauty, and House of DeMu is Scotland. 2 3
House of DeMu Style & Quality Handmade in Scotland The company was established by Deborah Murdoch in 2015 Deborah studied at the prestigious Glasgow School of Art and specialised in jewellery, design & manufacture. House of DeMu is a collection of exquisite fine crafted collections that come from a blend of influences ranging from architecture, geometric shapes, high fashion and even the gemstones themselves. House of DeMu takes pride in making top quality handmade pieces of jewellery, using only the best materials and making sure all gemstones and metals are ethically sourced. She went on to hone her craft while training with acclaimed jewellery company Hamilton and Inches. Inspiration for the Fenestra collection comes from the stained glass rose windows found in the Glasgow Cathedral. Each piece contains ancient geometric patterns that honor the history and heritage of Scotland. fenestra 8 9

The inspiration for the Wilda collection comes from Celtic mythology. Unicorns - the national animal of Scotland - are considered to be very rare and precious. they are also a symbol of beauty, bravery and freedom. The collection has been named Wilda, meaning The Untamed. 20 21
